Think he's got that one covered already.
see the thing i learned about these mac forum sites is that most of the people who feel as though that they have a name for themselves or have posted alot tend to be rude. yall defend apple by being rude to someone who ask a simple question or just wants to vent about how they feel about a certin product or an error with there machines. yall always seem to have the "get over it" attitude. in this situation the man has a right to complane because he spent damn there 3 gs on a lappy that he thought was the highest end model for the size he wanted or needed but then apple turns around with no warning and creates a higher end model without any notification to the people purchasing that lappy within the last month. some come now stop trying to defend apple by telling this man to get over it because you and i both know that that is f@!# up. you would be mad too if went to buy something one day that you thought was the best available and the person selling it to you failed to mention that tommorow he will have something better for about the same price.
It's not that we don't approve, we just feel that you can't let go your sense of entitlement.
As Dennis Leary said, "Life sucks, wear a helmet."
Maybe I should only make threads that other people will approve of, instead of having my own views and opinions independant of whether other people like it or not.
What might I want to think through? Not thru by the way! Would you like to pay the same price for inferiority within a short time span? Get real!
Could you name one other company that announces "we are coming out with an update so hold off buying if you don't want to get burned"?
I agree that it can suck, but it's not an Apple specific issue. No company that I know of operates like you and the OP suggest that Apple should. Apple should be held to a standard, but not an unreasonable standard.
Dude seriously... You're making a big fuss over a .13 bump?
And I think what annoys people about your attitude is that you didn't even try to first resolve the issue with Apple. You just wanted to gripe and complain, regardless of the solution somebody just gave you a few posts back, about calling Apple and trying to see if they would take care of you.
Whose "we"? No-one here has said anything valid against my point. Perhaps you enjoy inferiority.

No, I didn't purchase it 5 months ago, I purchased it less than a month ago, and if I would have received any indication of a bump in specs, I would have waited. Maybe it wouldn't be as big of a deal if it was a $500 computer, but when it's nearly $3,000, it changes the game.

As far as I know if you buy it within 30 days of a hardware bump they replace it for you. Take it to the store in the box and ask for another. Can't hurt to try. Or you could just bitch.
You are really pathetic. Yeah, Apple should have had a press release
"Hey everyone! We're releasing new products in a month! Stop buying everything until then!"
Give me a freakin break.
1. You knew what you were getting
2. You knew the cost
3. You agreed that you were getting your money's worth when you bought it
End. Of. Story. This is technology. You played the game and you lost. You had plenty of warning of imminent updates from MacRumors.
current model Macbook Pro
No, I don't know that the 2.8 model was out 5 months ago, and the base MBP model has not changed at all as of this refresh. If there was any indication of a change, I would have waited, or saved $400 on my purchase.

I'm very sorry, but you'll have to remove "current" from your signature now.
Apple didn't "surprise" anyone. Do you honestly think they sit in the board room and say, "OK, we have a report that Anonymouslives just bought a Mac, so let's release our new product line now". ???... there is definitely something wrong with surprising people after they just purchased something, without giving them any indication.
Funny, but Apple has a business, they run it "this way", and they've been flourishing for decades!... that's certainly not a way to ensure repeat business. If you have a business (which I doubt you do) and you run it this way, you wouldn't have one for very long..
You're right, you're VERY sorry indeed!
Yeah, I'm a troll because I have an opposing viewpoint to the brainwashed.
Kill self!
It's not about anyone being "brainwashed". You're complaining because you don't like how free enterprise, economics and standard ethical business practices operate. You lack a basic understanding of the most basic fundamentals of how to operate a successful business. You can't honestly expect those who understand these things not to challenge you.Yeah, I'm a troll because I have an opposing viewpoint to the brainwashed.

At least someone gets it.
These pretentious tards can be as rude as they want, I can dish out plenty myself.

I'm making a bid deal about $400
