Sprint is a generally bad choice for post-paid, since their coverage sucks compared to the big boys, and they aren't much cheaper. Good deal for pre-paid though if you can live with less coverage.

Kind of. It really depends on your situation, not just your location. Sprint is not great in my area, although there are upgrades coming. But I have wireless at home, at work, and at my weekend retreat. And I have no throttling or limits on my data usage. If I didn't have access to wifi, I would probably have left Sprint, but by and large it gets the job done, and with a single account, and my work discount, it's about $20 a month cheaper than ATandT, which doesn't even have coverage in my office....so I could use data using wifi, but not get any calls. Sprint is wired in our buildings. Lots of things probably go into what's best for each person. As a heavy data user, given my setup, I think Sprint is best for me, in spite of absurd data speeds at present.
