Mine just did it again a couple times. Switching to video and back to photo seems to fix the problem on mine.

What a bizarre issue. Maybe try restoring your phone and NOT restoring from backup.

I am on my 3rd iPhone 7+ and I am giving up at this point. I bought this phone strictly for the camera - as I work out in the field taking photos of various jobs. The one I got on launch day was doing this (see video). I did a restore and set it up as new - still did it so I took it to Apple. They swapped it out for a new one - and I set it that one up as new. Definitely didn't want to do that - losing all messages and re downloading apps is never something I enjoy doing. The camera worked for a day or so, then started doing the same thing. I was so fed up at this point I walked into the same Apple Store to show them again - they offered to swap it again. Here I sit with my 3rd phone doing the EXACT same thing. It's obviously a software issue. Guess I'll just want for an update. Sigh....

That is why I can't find one Plus at the moment. You've been getting all of them

You don't want one - trust me

I am really trying to get one, tired of waking up at 6am everyday to check if I can reserve a Plus. I just hope I wont have those issues :p

Well, as much as you don't want to use a third party photo app. Have you tried something free like instagram or snapchat just to see if it has the same problem? It seems to me the phone is having issues focusing. By utilizing a 3rd party camera app like instagram you can see if it is actually a hardware or software issue. 3 phones with the same issue is pretty rare but rare things have happened before. Does this happen when you use the front camera too? If you get a replacement... again, then I would have them turn on the phone and use the camera app in front of you.

My iPhone SE does the exact same thing on a daily basis. It also locks up the head unit in my truck when it connects to it and I have to open the camera app and slide it to video and back to fix it. Every. Single. Day... Running 10.0.2. Was perfectly fine on 9.3.x

I would do a restore but I have a 7 on the way, well some day anyway. Ordered day of preorders but during the day and it's still estimated by mid to late October.

My iPhone 7 does this. I open the camera and the display is blurred and frozen. Doesn't do it all the time, but frustrating when it does. I'll get it swapped one day.

I think it's an iOS problem. My phone did it again, but when I open ProCam 4 it's fine. If I go back to the camera app it's still there.

That's really infortunate. Exchange for a new one :)

I have this issue on my iPhone 6S.

It didn't happen for the first few months, and I'm pretty sure it started when I put iOS10 beta on, and it's still there now with iOS10.1 beta 2.

My workaround is to slide over to "video" then back to "photo". However, I can't do that when the camera app is embedded in something such when adding a photo directly in iMessage. In that case I have to open the camera app, do the video/photo thing and go back to iMessage.

I'm assuming (as many people are reporting this, on multiple devices, and that it started happening recently) that it's a software issue but it's odd that it hasn't been fixed. Hopefully we're all reporting it in Feedback (for us beta users).
