If I'm posting this is not to brag.

I'm new to Mac (not so new, since I have a Mac Color Classic II, that still works), but new to OS X.

I simply love everything in this machine.
I'm a IT Tech and all the machines that I work with are windows.

I left the Mac World 13 years ago, after school, all my friends and family members were Windows users so I didn't get far with my little Mac.

That's why I have a big windows machine that I built myself from very carefully pick parts. Fully loaded.

But all that is a thing of the past. Now with my MacBook Pro and all the accessories that I have, I don't feel empty anymore.

So long frustrating times trying to edit home movies. So long virus!

Welcome peace of mind and Love at First Sight.

Do you love your Mac?
I know that I DO!!! :)

Nice setup! Especially the old style 4th generation ipod dock. Very clean and organized.

Edit: You defiantly have allot set up there, One MBP, One desktop, and a (Toshiba?) laptop. Is that a Time Capsule as well?

That is correct, and Old Satellite P-10 Toshiba Laptop.
And yes, IT IS a Time Capsule 1TB.

Welcome back to the Mac world.

Nice setup.

Yes, I love my Macs and tolerate my PCs. :)

With the Intel Macs, you get the best of both worlds with two computers in one. Sweet.

M&M what brought you back to Mac?
For me, I had the opportunity to use a MacBook for 3 or 4 months and loved it, started with TIger and upgraded to Leopard. It wasn't all perfect, 2 months later the hard drive died I called Apple on Monday, Tuesday morning I recieved a box, I packed it up and DHL picked it up that afternoon. Thursday morning, I had my MB back.

After my experienced I wanted a MBP for my on to replace my PC desktop and on Feb 27 I order a 2.4 MBP and 4GB of Crucial ram from Newegg and I couldn't be happier. The only contender was a Dell XPS 1530. At the time of my order they were about the same price for the same setup. I bought a MBP because
1. Leopard
2. Form Factor, it just looks cool
3. Ability to run both OS/X and XP
4. Apple machines just feel better built (solid)

Why I didn't buy Dell.
1. Vista
2. Compared to the feel of an Apple, XPS just felt cheap.

This is just my personal opinion.

Um Is that a playgirl magazine in the lower right corner?

Congrats to the happy owner and the new Mac! With so many other problems being posted on the forums, it's refreshing to see a satisfaction thread -- especially for potential buyers such as myself (a few weeks ago).

M&M what brought you back to Mac?

Well, I never left Mac. I just got lost in a turn. I always loved Mac. There were also the numerous hours spent in installing windows/apps, monitoring virus, defragmenting... waste of time.

I finally manage to save some money to pay for it. No debt.

Next project in 3 to 4 years, replace my desktop with a Mac Pro or similar machine.

As well, I don't think I will have to buy a Windows machine anymore. My house is going Mac ALL THE WAY!!!

Congratulations. I hope you will have lots of fun for many years to come with it! With such beautiful machine who won't.
The MacBook Pro really is an elegant machine, it was really well thought out and everything "just works", at least from my experience. My next computer will definitely be an Apple, probably in a few years time I'll buy a new MacBook or MacBook Pro, but I'm sure I'll keep this one because of the sentimental value it has -- my first true Apple computer that I bought and paid for myself. :)

I am also completely satisfied with my new MBP. Being a windows user forever, I was skeptical of the switch, but now I wonder what kept me away for so long. I feel like it is absolutely perfect. The operating system is amazing, I will never go back to windows again. And I must say that my experiance at the Apple store was incredible as well. I had three different guys breaking their necks to help me out (must have been the blonde hair).
