For making up the whole mugging thread...it was a stupid idea and really dump to do that..i dont understand why i really did it...im sorry....

However, it sounds like there were a few other MR members that have actually been mugged. One dude even packs heat when he is on the streets...

Really dumb thing to do. Way to get yourself taken seriously in the future.

I was going to type more but there is someone here with a knife that wants my new Apple keyboard so I have to go!
 
I'm going to sound harsh but I do not intend to yet there's no better way to say it. Seriously, a member with 1700+ posts and you're doing the very thing that people in similar post count positions do; make up stupid threads for attention. I simply don't get it and the whole "I'm sorry" thread appears to be yet another bid for attention. Lead by example. That's really all there is to it.
 
Okay, okay... he apologized for it. Now, lets pretend it never happened.

However, karma is a bitch so you may very well get mugged for real one day. 😱
 
Well, the good news is while it may have been fake, I took heed. I now take extra precautions to keep my iPhone secure. I've even locked it with a passcode so if anyone does happen to get ahold of it, they can't access my personal information.

BTW, guys, in the sprit of truth, I don't really have a girlfriend. I'm a 40 year old virgin living in my parents basement. 😛

In case no one got it, I was kidding.
 
I'm surprised and quite disappointed as I followed that particular thread closely. I accept the apology, but can't for the life of me understand why you'd just make something like that up.
 
there's really no need to apologize... it's a stupid thing you did, childish... and well, dumb.

But, if you don't mind me asking a personal question... what is your home life like? Do you have loving parents who give you enough positive reinforcement? Do you feel like you're not getting enough attention at home?

These are just a few of my initial thoughts of reasoning for those posts...

Same here.

Well, you know people will be thinking about that thread the next time they see a post of yours. It wasn't worth losing respect was it? I learned not to do this way back in elementary, every heard of the boy who yelled wolf?

I seem to have been a bit harsh up there, didn't mean to, but I mean it really isn't cool of you to do stuff like that.
