I converted to being a naked iPhone user some time last year. No regrets. It looks a thousand times better. Every time I pick it up I admire how beautiful it is. Zero scratches. I'm careful with it, it goes in pockets on its own, never with anything else in there: usually my back jeans pocket. It's fallen off my bedside table a couple of times onto a wood floor: no damage at all.

I would love to have my iPhone 6 naked but it's too slippery. Unfortunately I've dropped & repaired the my first iPhone 6 twice. Shattered the screen both times. I don't usually shatter screens like that so now I'm very cautious with my phones.

I don't have a case on my Note 4 though. I don't feel like I need to because I have a better grip on the phone than I do on the iPhone 6.

MY sweet honey.

Maybe it's all in my mind but the 6S seems to have better grip naked than the 6. Could be the added weight or maybe I'm losing my mind. Still have my saddle brown Apple leather on at the moment though

Depends on if you want to keep it / give it to friends in a years time or resell; I kept a phone in case for 10 month - took it out for a week, dropped it. hesitant to go naked since

Yeah, we don't sell our phones. We keep them. Sometimes they go off to people in need (whomever it may be) but we never sell them to finance new phones.

We do that with our tax refund.

Everyone's different - personally I prefer not to have any dent/scratch on hardware - if there is any scratch I'll try to get the device replaced asap; oddly once you temper up the screen and cover it with a case - the device is never used as intended. This is fine if the case is nice. Nontheless its still a trade-offs vs cost of replacement.

I don't like dings, dents or scratches either. I tend to treat my device carefully because I don't want that happening. By year two though it's much less of a concern for me and by the time the device is no longer my primary device I'm not much concerned at all, except for not cracking a screen.

But as you said, everyone is different.

I think the 6S is a lot less slippery than the 6.
I think it's the new 7000 series aluminum much more matte and brushed. I found the new leather cases more slippery than the phone itself.
