Well I took a road trip with a buddy who had to use my AT&T iphone over and over because his T-Mo phone had no service except near or in the cities.

Someone forgot to tell his phone to use AT&T's towers

You actually have to enable data roaming if it is not enabled for his phone to be able to do that. Though it wouldnt help if he wasn't in an area with a roaming agreement.

I've been with sprint long enough to say that "unlimited" is a useless word if it doesn't work properly.

It's like saying, sure I'll give you unlimited access to LTE advanced, what a good deal right? But the secret is it only works in 2 states out of the whole US and you don't live anywhere near those 2 states.

TEST DRIVE the service, if it's good go with it. Do not get SCAMMED by going with a provider who claims "unlimited" but yet has horrendous service in your area!

T-Mobile is a great choice for city people (like me), but also when their 2G becomes HSPA+/LTE, get ready for rural T-Mobile coverage, at blazing fast speeds. :D
