Hi everyone! I’m using a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) and I’ve been having a issue with fan noise and I was wondering if it was due to the iMac being to hot? (Attacked image of temps)

It’s a iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) / i5 / 16 GB of ram / AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2 GB

I’ve been having this issue for a while now, and can kick in sometimes on ideal, as well as when using such as Affinity software, Game Capture HD (for use with the Nintendo Switch) or safari and within bootcamp where games would lag and have large lag spikes.

When it comes to Game Capture HD within “Activity Monitor” it dose say its using around 70/80% CPU.

Thank you for your time.

My mac (i5,m290x) has a fan speed of 1283-- and its CPU cores are around 85 C. GPU Die is around 75 C. A bit hotter than yours. Your ambient seems a tad high, though. Is something blocking the vents?

The weird thing is that my fan maxes out at 2700rpm. It's definitely audible above 1900 rpm.
