That touchbar on the bottom bezel looks ridiculous.
TBH I can't see any chance the Touch Bar would ever be on the iMac.![]()
What I think the next rev will have:
- Ivy Bridge
- Cheaper SSD options
- Minor redesign (less chin)
I would prefer they add 64GB SSD for OS X & apps + 2TB for everything else.
Apple also does minor redesigns every 2 to 3 years.

2004-2006: White iMac.

2007-2009: Aluminum iMac.

2009-2011: Minor redesigned Aluminum iMac.
So for 2012 I'm hoping they will do another minor redesign. Something along the line of this:

While we're at it, here's another beautiful design.

Though part of me wonders if they're pushing Mac Pro users towards iMac and unifying their desktop line, it might make more sense for the next design to put internals in the base again. Maybe not quite as sleek but could allow an ultra light display and more room for higher end internals to breathe.

Why have a touch bar on the screen? Doesn't make sense given's apple's desire to avoid a touch screen. Put it another way, what advantage does a touch bar on the screen have over a full touch screen implementation?- Touch bar

I don't think there will be a redesign, a spec update yes. Also there are rumours that they are looking to putting the Touch Bar and Touch ID into the keyboard for the iMac. So maybe the function keys on the iMac keyboard are removed and replaced with the Touch Bar?
something to look forward to..............
Aesthetics are more significant to you then display specs on a 27" screen? Interesting.Yea, i hope we do see a redesign eventually but i just don't think that it will be happening yet. I've been tempted by the 5K iMac for a while now, but i'm holding off until we get something more substantial like a redesign.
