im testing oculink egpu adapter with a mxm to nvme adapter and the total cost was about 55€.
i used gtx1650 , gtx1660 and rtx2060 on windows 10 (rufus pen if i remove it dont boot) with monitor 24p 240hz( tested in 60hz) and works well no problems with drivers i did some benchmarks it run at pci x16 2.0

i have rx6600 and rx6700 i will study a little to see if its possible to install

oculink its a great option price performance and its possible be used on other imacs by the way it works the mxm adapter supports nvme gen 4,3, and 2... i tried sonoma with nvidia graphics and it works with 8mb vram its sad that apple dont support it...

i have imac 2009 i will try on it and leave the feedback...

so far problems found, without rufus pen plugged dont boot, windows try to install intel gpu driver on i7 2600s, no image on imac lcd and sound just the nvidia audio works.
