Yes, I know that but that's the dual cores and not the high-end quad core models for the iMac. These are coming next year. Just as the Broadwell has been released now, but still no quad cores (that is why the new 15" MBP is still Haswell and not Broadwell). So - no Skylake iMacs this year!
In my understanding iMac uses desktop CPUs and MBP uses mobile CPUs, so you can't really draw a line between the two.

NO, i7 6700K with HT and i5 6600K are 4 core CPUS that will be released in august-september.

Are you certain? But we still don't have quad core Broadwells, let alone Skylakes?! Are they going to skip Broadwell quads?

I remember reading somewhere that quad Skylake is pushed to 2016 - but I could very well be wrong. If high-end Skylakes do come this year, it would certainly be interesting.

I think you misunderstood me - while one is mobile and the other desktop, they share the manufacturing process and many other things. This year, mobile Broadwells appeared but the desktop-class quad core CPUs (both mobile for MBP and desktop) were delayed (and are still not available).

Yess positive :), they´ll not skip Broadwell, Core i7-5775C and i5-5675C are shipping soon (june). Regarding Skylake, http://www.sweclockers.com/nyhet/20525-intel-skylake-lanseras-tredje-kvartalet-2015 use google translate, it´s a trusted Swedish techsite.
