I've got a shipping date, 13th september.
Does this mean shipped out to my address or shipped out to a 3rd party courier?

order status + bluetooth kbd info

Hello,

I ordered my iMac G5 with the following configuration:

iMac G5 20"
1GB RAM (two 512's)
250GB SATA
Airport Express 54G
Bluetooth + Bluetooth Kbd/Mouse option

Est ship date: on or before 10/3

Someone mentioned that Apple wouldn't actually send two sets of keyboards (wired and non-wired), and I had to contact Apple over the phone regarding my order, and I asked them that exact question. They told me that "yes" they will be shipping a wired set of keyboard/mouse and a bluetooth set. I was expecting that when you choose the $99 option to get bluetooth / bluetooth kbd and mouse, it would de-select the hardwired keyboard and mouse but it seems this is not the case. Maybe the wired ver is for when the batteries on the kbd/mouse die? lol

Most excellent! I thought they might do that as it only makes sense, IMO. Built into the basic price of the iMac is the keyboard and mouse, the BT keyboard and mouse is an add-on so getting both would seem common to me. I'm glad that both are sent because that gives a back up in the event something goes wrong. :)

That also means it is even more of a bargain, compared to the cost of buying a Mac with the standard keyboard and mouse and then adding Bluetooth and the keyboard and mouse as separate purchases.

i think the reason for having a wired kb+mouse is that there are still problems with BT not being able to work during boot because the drivers haven't yet initialized.

Ordered iMac G5 17" with BT module, keyboard, and mouse on 8/31. There is still no sign of shipping.

Has anyone heard anything about their BT iMac yet?

Yes, the have started to ship. Check the iMacs Shipping thread in the News Section. Mine shipped to today, and I'm supposed to receive it by Friday. I ordered a 20" model, but I think 17" models with BT had already started shipping.

*claps* Congrats to you Q! You will take some pics of your new arrival for us, won't you? :D
I could post pics of the iMac, but it'll look the same as everyone else's. And I won't be taking any pictures of my "happy dance"; we've seen what happens when you do that!

Oct. 19

20-inch screen
1GB DDR400 SDRAM (2 DIMM)
250GB SERIAL ATA DRIVE
SuperDrive
Airport Extreme Card
BT Mod.+Wrless Kybd&Mse+OSX

I ordered my G5 i Mac on Sept. 19, my ship date has remained solid on Oct. 19. I hope they come sooner though. That would be a nice surprise. I got my Airport Express in about 2 or 3 days, super fast. So now I can just stare and imagine what it will be like to have everything else set up. It's a cruel, cruel world.

I ordered my new iMac on Sept. 21 from the online Apple Store. As of Sept. 27, my order is still listed as "received" and not yet "processed," with a general shipping date of "3 to 4 weeks."

According to the site, most orders begin processing within 40 minutes of receipt.

Has anyone else experienced this delay in processing?

Ordered 14 SEP
20", 512mb, Blue Tooth, Wireless

Shipped 27 SEP
From Shanghi China though, Delivery Date on FED EX is not until 13 OCT but the Apple e-mail says in 10 or less days until it arrives.

First Apple computer ever for me. Can't wait until it comes. People think I am crazy buying an Apple because I am an IT/Info Systems Management major. But a 64-bit processor that works and has software for it...for sure the way to go.

Was expecting a much longer wait.

Posted the other day and said mine shipped on the 27th, I got it at 10am on the 29th. Came a LOT faster from China than I thought it would.
