Is this screen bleeding normal or should I return it? I bought this used iMac earlier this week and received it today.

@f4uce Yes, that’s the usual result if you photograph an edge lit IPS screen, like the iMac has, in a dark room with an iPhone camera.

The camera’d AI assumes you want to view something in the picture, and over-exposes the image massively to try to bring the brightness up to a ‘normal’ picture level.

Useless for analysing the actual screen quality.

how can I check screen quality then? I have tried a few online tools but im still not so sure
 
The great thing about online forum comments is that they are great for selecting those that validate one’s confirmation bias 🙂
