I have a 2008 iMac (2.6 GHZ with 4 GB RAM with 750 GB HD). I have had nothing but trouble with it. Since day 1. The recent networking problems are about to drive me to chuck it in the street. I honestly think I got a lemon. I have been using Macs since 1988. Most recently the Beige G3 tower, the graphite iBook, Sunflower iMac, BlackBook... I have never had problems with any of them like this iMac. I want to sell it and get a MacMini or just hook my 2010 13" MBP up to a display. This new computer will basically be my iTunes server for the house, and for homework for my kids with the iApps. Do you think I need to wait for a refresh or are the current models sufficient? And what kind of price should I sell the iMac. I am also wondering how to put Lion back on it without having the OS tied to my iTunes account. I have the retail SL disc, should I just put that back on it? Thanks for any advice or tips.
