Update:
Ordered: August 13th
Card charged: August 19th
Preparing for shipment: August 22nd

Estimated delivery is still September 11th.

And my frustration continues. Apple's systems finally admitted today there's a problem with my order and the delivery date was changed to Sep 16-23 (was Aug 20-24). I don't know what has been more frustrating: getting kicked back to the end of the line after waiting for this long, or the specialists I've been speaking to yesterday and earlier this week insisting there is no issue with the order and feeding me canned responses instead of doing some legwork to see why my order wasn't moving.

Whether or not it kicks me further to the back of the line or not, I cancelled and resubmitted the order as the quoted dates for orders submitted today are also for the 16-23 range anyway. I'm pretty much sure the order was resubmitted in some form in the backend. I figured just start over fresh.

I'm really not happy with this company and its so-called specialists right now. But I still love the iMac and really want to get my hands on this model for several reasons. If it wasn't for that, I'd seriously be exploring other options.

Im feeingl pretty lucky. Order placed 8/18. Preparing for shipment on 8/21. Early this morning 8/22 the label was generated and it said estimated delivery of 8/31. Just now I checked and it says scheduled delivery on 8/26! I’m so stoked. Now to sell my 2015.

i9, 5700xt, 2tb, 10gbe, 8gb ram

Mine arrived on the 20th.

3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9
32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB

And... some issues. See attached. The rounded corners of Finder windows, specifically, appear either a) not rounded, b) appear to have extra pixels, or c) flicker as you resize the windows. And I have seen an occasional white line glitch across the screen. Rounded corners in apps like Safari are fine. Seems to be limited to Finder windows only and apps like TextEdit. Ran Unigine Heaven for quite some time with no issues. Assuming it's the 5700 and, weirdly, something specific with the Finder windows only.

Anybody else seeing this?

With regards to the graphical glitch where white lines flash at random intervals, someone with a 5700XT started a thread this morning. I too have a 5700XT and chimed in as well.

I’ve also moved into Preparing for Shipment! ETA is still the revised Sept 8-15.
i7/8gb/1TB/5700xT/10gbe/touchpad/extended keyboard/AppleCare+ Ordered 8/18/20

Anyone else getting things move sooner than expected also have AppleCare+?

Still questioning whether I should have gone i9 or not, but I don’t think I’m cancelling at this point.

My order with AppleCare+ w/ the 5700 moved quicker than expected with AppleCare+. I ordered on 8/17 and it just shipped today for delivery on 8/31.

Mine moved into Preparing to ship sometime today after the ETA moving closer by a day yesterday. Got the same order as you, extended keyboard, both mouse & trackpad, 5700XT, etc.

My machine was bumped from august 31-28 to sept 15-22nd, now BY sept 15th. Hoping it slips back to normal or at least leaves processing. Spoke to Apple and they said that if machines aren’t built by a certain time, the date is changed automatically but it shouldn’t be that long. Granted it’s apple support so who knows.

I hope you all have better luck than me. Ordered on 6th, "shipped" on 13th, and 9 days later still has not left Shanghai.
I ordered on the 9th, shipped on 12th with the ETA of August 20. Somehow it arrived in Louisville, KY UPS hub this morning. It took a full week from Shanghai, China to Incheon, Korea.

nice! Mine just went back to its original early 24th delivery date as well. l‘ll be happier when I see it leave Louisville. Either way it’s still about a week earlier than when I bought it.
Mine is still in Louisville as well, released from customs twice... Hoping it makes it out of KY and to PA by tomorrow... Fingers Crossed
