M1 chip, Apple Watch, AirPods. Clearly failures, right 😂😂.

Or plastic white MacBook bodies that crack.
Uhm…my 2008 white plastic Macbook still hums when I fire it up. I put a clear plexiglass cover on it so inside it’s cherry. Main use now is nice old version of handbrake and vhs to vid.

The iMac G4 is possibly the best Apple hardware design hardware in their history. That is an excellent example of how Steve Jobs brought out the best in Jony Ive while keeping a tight lid on the worst in him. That mediocre MBA suit, Tim Cook, however, is a failure at leadership when it comes to design, and thus lets the worst in Jony Ive run wild, which is precisely why we've been stuck with camera bumps for nine years and notches for six years.

I agre the iMac G4 s a classic design. Jobs/Ive had some notable failures as well, such as the G4 Cube. Overall though, that period was probably the pinnacle of Apple design.

I wouldn't say that; the current MacBooks are a good example of form following function design. Apple stock has gone up 14x since he took over, so something must be right with the product design.

Alternatively, thicker phones and wider bezels. All design is a tradeoff, and award winning design doesn't always translate into great products, just ask Don Norman.

Yes and look at some of the design masterpieces under cooks tenure

Like the studio /s

I had a g4 iMac and it was really well built , sadly mine had a dead pixel right in the screen middle and in those days that was deemed acceptable..

Still didn’t take away from its stunning design , in fact Apple used to be known for its stylish trend setting designs , I wonder what happened ?

The worst design at Apple has all come after Ives left.

Eh, some of the old beige Macs may have looked .. ok.. on the outside, but doing anything inside was an exercise is finding out just how cut up and bloody you could get replacing a hard drive.. adding a 10/100 ethernet card.. adding ram.. swapping a dead CD drive.. I kept a bottle of peroxide at my desk.
