iMac vs. Macbook

I can't choose between a low end iMac or a High end Macbook, I go between two houses

You can lug an iMac between houses. If you need to go places with it, no question get the Macbook.

The MB is faster, I think. More memory, faster memory, not sure about the processors though.

The iMac has a nice big screen though, and firewire.

I know they're both 2.4 GHZ, I'd suspect a different front side bus though.

Anywho, the MB is also more expensive by a couple hundred. $1600 vs. $1200, I think?

MacBook if you really move alot between to places. iMac if you tend to stay at one place more than the other.

Well how often are you going to move from house to house because if it was like once a week then it would ok to get the imac but anymore frequently than I would definitely go for the macbook

My Macbook basically acts as an easy to upgrade iMac since it's usually connected to an external monitor. I had to make the same choice and I picked the Macbook because the iMac is due for a refresh "any time now" while the Macbook still has some time before it gets updated.
