What isn't noted here is how much cheaper it is to build a computer better than the hp, for less. Plus you can upgrade individual components, as well as install your own OS- excluding bloat ware.

True that option is always open to you, but you'll find the resale value of such a beast a few years down the line is very low. Of course you may not wish to resell it, you might continuously upgrade, but this sort of care and nursing isn't open to most people who dont have the skills to do it.

I was on an Android forum the other day, trying to find out how to do something thats stock on iOS for a relatives phone, and the answer was that you can download apps to make it happen. And sure enough enough you can, but it needed 4 apps and then specifically configuring all of them and wpuld probably break with the next OS update.

I could do it but i doubt the average user could (and my relative certainly cant), same with this, you could after all build a Hackintosh but how many people can do that or want to deal with the hassles ?

We are mostly "edge cases" here, i think this comparison is very valid for the Joe Soap user :D

iMac Vs. Windows PC: What You Get For Your Hard Earned Cash |An In-depth Comp...

Good point! In my case I do just want to keep upgrading.

Ps I have built a hackintosh/ put windows on a mbp I used to have but sold!

I actually sold it pretty quick because better hardware that I couldn't lug around was worth more to me than sub-par hardware (for gaming) that I could tote every where.

Also I greatly encourage anyone with an interest in computers to build a little something- I'm no genie I just followed great instructions on new eggs website and it worked awesome the first time!

And I'm with you all the way Androids suck :D

For the topic...i dont think people say that apple has more expensive products..i think people like me says that apple is an mid and high end products brand. So they don't do cheap(figurative and literally), thats all.
Like mercedes they don't do cheap cars.
