I bought my BTO iMac about 2 hours after Lion was released and was wondering the very same question, which led me to this post (with no information). Well, my iMac just arrived today, and guess what?

It comes with Lion.
It even comes with the new Lion keyboard!

Just in case you wanna know!
No DVDquestion - for those of you who've received an iMac with Lion pre-installed, did you also get recovery disk DVDs, and do you know whether those DVDs are Lion or Snow Leopard?
thanks!
Mark
I ordered a BTO with 1TB HD and 256GB SSD. My on the 7/19 and I received it on the 7/26. Mine came pre-installed with 10.6.7. Personally I was glad that it came with Snow Leopard as Lion was now "free" upgrade as I have three Macs in the house.
I am also happy to report that the 27" iMac came with a WD 1 TB HD and the LCD panel did not suffer from any yellowing. It's a keeper. I am not sure if mine was an isolated case.
I ordered on July 20 and received it yesterday. With Lion pre-installed and without any installation media. My HD is also WD one and screen is pretty good. oh, yes, the keyboard is the new one and the OS version number is 511a, a little different from the GM one.
I ordered one on the 20th, and so far it hasn't even shipped yet.
They even sent out a delay in shipment email.
I assume it's due to the HDD recall?
O well, as long as it comes with a working HDD and no issues whatsoever, I can wait all day all week!![]()
My new Imac is on the FedEx truck to be delivered today. I have been using pc's since cpm days and hope I made a wise decision.

Thank you so much!! I ordered the high-end 27" with everything maxed out the night Lion was realeased and was hoping Lion would be pee-installed! Thanks so much for the pictures too!!

Received mine on Tuesday and ordered around 9:00 AM EST on the 20th. Received with Lion and new keyboard.
It was a BTO 256GB SSD + 1TB HD

No, as mentioned before, no factory CDs are included.
I predicted this way in advance and people laughed and said it was ridiculous and even stupid for such an idea.
And now look at where we are![]()

What about iLife 11. How would you reinstall it if no disk is included. Does it show as bought on the App Store, so that is the way you would reinstall?
