iMessage down?

I'm in Senegal, using iMessage exclusively through wi-fi, on my iPad and iPhone and neither appear to be working. Phone is sending as text messages and iPad is giving me a Message Send Failure.
 
my iMessages are failing too in Florida on Verizon. They aren't even going through as text messages

Edit: well it looks like texts are going through after all, just took a long time

I think there's an outage at the moment. I'm on iOS5 and iMessage is down.
 
Wow thanks for all the replies to EVERYONE!!

It was up for me in Kuwait and wife in fl. But it is back down.
Glad it's not just me
 
iMessage

I have had reports from multiple people on iOS 6 and iOS 5 that are having the same issues.
 
Couldn't send iMessages to my boyfriend but he was able to send them. We thought it was our phones again.
Kentucky on AT&T.
 
Looks like its down for me too. Which is annoying because I sent a picture to a mate on Saturday which I may have been charged for now
 
Mines been down for about 2 hours. Only SMS will go through if iMessage is off. My boyfriend also had to turn his off in order to receive my SMS. Weird.
