iMessage down?

This is the one thing that has me a little leery about iCloud an iMessage. I'm an avid user, but what happens when it goes down. I had no idea iMessage was down until I saw it on Engadget. I went back into my messages and found that none of them had sent, yet the little red/white "!" Never popped up. Rather frustrating and hope that this happens less and less. I'll chalk it up to a new product launch
iMessages stopped working last night, and I didn't receive the texts from then until this afternoon. It's currently down yet again.
not working for me since last night
iMessage started flaking out last night. Messages weren't being sent. Turned off iMessage and can send via SMS. I'm in the Boston area.

GRRR I'm getting a bit pissed with iMessage. Please don't get me wrong It's been a god send, since I'm deployed and I had to yank my SIM out due to international roaming!!!!!!
But now on my phone it has gone out totally, and is saying no SIM installed. Man this sucks cause I'm out here for about another month, and I'm trying to coordinate with the wife on things for returning. I can NOT believe how reliant we have become on these things LOL
