Well...there was a massive hurricane that did just hit North Carolina - where a giant server farm happens to reside. When the power goes out and all the solar panels blow away - not much left to run the place but biogas-fueled fuel cells.

That's what I was thinking too. I wouldn't be surprised if Sandy has something to do with the outage.

Well considering that server farm is hundreds of miles from where the hurricane came through North Carolina don't think that's it.
But having said all that, iMessage is working for me in North Carolina.

c'mon... lets not let that stop the mass whining about how apple can't keep there systems running, blah, blah... :rolleyes:

Its not working, however, with my friend in NJ. But that might be beyond Apple's control. Might have more to do with some bitch named Sandy, lol.
 
Still not working for me. Tried turning iMessage off, rebooting my iPhone, etc. It locks on "activation" both on my Mac and iPhone and after a while, it says that it can't activate.

The iCloud support page reports no problem, though.
