Beeper Mini's developers say that despite reaching out to Apple, they have not heard back.
I am shocked!

Well, not that shocked.

That’s a poor excuse. Android users don’t just pirate games. They pirate apps. Developers even acknowledge the fact android users pay less often than iOS users. On this point: Piracy is hard to argue against when you’re talking about most retro games. If a game isn’t re-released, do you expect people to go out and buy the original hardware, game, and necessary adapters — costing them hundreds of dollars which don’t even go the the copyright holders?
Yes, I do. Piracy should never be something that is looked at as "okay" even in a situation such is that. We are truly living in a time when a vast majority of retro game have been made viable through legitimate means to those that want to play those games. On this point: Piracy is hard to argue against when you’re talking about most retro games. And not to mention many models are less expensive than the iPhone with dozens of vendor’s products.Even today iPhone market share in the US including adults is under 60%. If it was organic, as in kids using what parents use, you'd see similar stats among teenagers.
Android reached the market share globally it peaked at because it's a lot more open. […]
why not use What's App ? like most people do ?You are on MacRumors dot com. I think a lot of the people who want iMessage on Android are primarily iPhone users.
this is not about technology, they don't care about consumers.I’m in favor of anybody being a pain in the ass for Apple as long as they continue to let this issue fester.
I’m hoping RCS alleviates a lot of the headaches, but if it doesn’t, then the only way Apple can end this stupid issue is to release iMessage for Android.
You gotta stop pivoting to new topics. You’ll get dizzy. That’s a poor excuse. Android users don’t just pirate games. They pirate apps. Developers even acknowledge the fact android users pay less often than iOS users.
I’m sorry you feel this way. Retro gaming shouldn’t need to be a privilege. And playing them in a modern fashion shouldn’t be frowned upon, especially if they’re long out-of-print.Yes, I do. Google is loosing on data collection from messages because they released 4 different messaging apps in last 5 years and nothing worked.
now if they force Apple to use RCS standard then Google can kill What's App and all other messaging apps and get all messaging data because 99.99% of the people own either iPhone or an Android phone.
Who’s pivoting? Perhaps follow the conversation before replying. We were talking about apps and pirating. You gotta stop pivoting to new topics. You’ll get dizzy.
Lmao just because you think you have the right to a game that others have paid for because it’s out of print doesn’t mean piracy is fine.I’m sorry you feel this way. Retro gaming shouldn’t need to be a privilege. And playing them in a modern fashion shouldn’t be frowned upon, especially if they’re long out-of-print.
Do I need to explain the difference between physical and digital goods to you? If I download Super Smash Bros Melee for GameCube, who is being stolen from?We all have a basic need to eat. It doesn’t give anyone the chance to steal from their local target
The developer who made the game that you didn’t pay for? That’s for starters.Do I need to explain the difference between physical and digital goods to you? If I download Super Smash Bros Melee for GameCube, who is being stolen from?
Why? iOS is inferiorif you need iMessage that badly, just get Apple devices....
Out of print for about 20 years. And that is just one of thousands of examples. The developer who made the game that you didn’t pay for? That’s for starters.
Anything else?
Copyright in the US last a century or more. I don’t care what you do, but it’s still theft.Out of print for about 20 years. And that is just one of thousands of examples.
aNyThiNg eLsE?
I mean if you wanna be a Legal Larry about it… Hard to argue that it’s immoral, though.Copyright in the US last a century or more. I don’t care what you do, but it’s still theft.
Please - you haven’t lost a night sleep from it.What a joke! A security nightmare.

It’s about 4 iPhone users being in a group chat and that 1 Android user ruins it for everyone. Then people say to the person “get an iPhone” so we can use blue bubble messaging.I don’t think it was ever about the color, because there’s been blue/green bubbles since 2011 and it’s only become a real conversation within the last five years.
People just want to be able to send modern messages, it’s that simple.
