iMessage is horribly unreliable for me lately. Is it just me?

Weird- I got a "mass text" with all my family members from my dad. I saw his text and then my wife answered and I saw that too, but noone elses texts came up I only saw my wifes responses.

This happens to me every now and then, but not recently. Maybe once per year.

To fix it I sign out of every account on every device, and resign in each one.

I too started having issues yesterday. I tried yesterday morning to turn on 2 step authentication for my account and now have to wait 3 days before I can authorize it. Since then, imessage has been haywire on my mac and my 6 plus.

One will receive messages and the other won't and vice versa of that. For some contacts, outgoing messages will simply send. For other contacts, the progress bar at the top moves almost all the way to right and it just gets stuck on "sending". It never even bumps it to the top of the queue of my message chains. For yet other contacts, it goes through but as a green message and not a blue imessage.

It's very frustrating but I'm hoping it's just due to the icloud 3 day wait thing.

My boyfriend has had some issues with iMessage randomly turning off. He never touches settings, so we have no clue how it happens. I actually need to check his iMessage again because I couldn't get them to go through yesterday. Only SMS was working with him.

I shut off iMessage for about 3 hours and turned it back on... Worked fine. Noticed the same thing for a bit, but then shut it off for a bit.
