iMessage wrong chronological order

When iMessaging with someone, her/his (fast) replies come above my messages. On Macbook order is good.
What to do?

I already tried setting it to another timezone and back. Could it be the carriers fault?

This constantly occurs in my wife’s iPhone SE. Makes her bonkers.

This is a pretty huge problem that Apple still hasn't completely addressed. This article will give you a temporary fix for when iMessages are out of order — the problem won't be completely fixed until Apple releases a new software update.

My 6S has the same problem. Very annoying. All the fixes tried work temporarily and then out of order again.

Ive been seeing this off and on for a few weeks now. Never happened to me before. Its totally annoying. I hope Apple issues a fix for this soon.
