That revised version looks pretty good. More like what I was expecting when I decided to order the Impact Band to begin with.

Looks deep enough to provide screen and back coverage from a drop but shallow enough to make texting and playing games actually possible. I couldn't play skate it at all with the version of the Impact Band that I have and Street Fighter 4 was a pain.

I may pick this up if I see it on Amazon on sale but honestly I'm rocking my Element case. I switched out my straight black Vapor with an AR15 and love it. No reception issues for me (knock on wood) and the feel is essentially the same as the Impact Band just more solid due to it being medal. That and thinner obviously.

Thanks for the picks.

Dropped from waist height last night. Actually, more like I threw it at the ground. Landed directly on its face, not a scratch.

Planning on buying one.

Seeing how it protects all '360 degrees' from a fall, really got me hooked.

Good review Larry. Someone posted here I think and said he dropped his phone and the front screen broke. What's your take on that?

How would this compare to the Otterbox commuter in protection in your opinion? It appears it offers better protection than the commuter because of the more heavier duty bumper compared to a hard plastic shell/silicon combo with the commuter.

I guess it's all about how the phone lands. Base One Labs has some video on their site where they drop the phone a few times from some pretty serious distance and it survives. I've always subscribed to the belief that if I drop my phone onto a hard surface like concrete there's a good chance I'll be kissing it goodbye.

The Commuter is slimmer for sure but covers more surface area. I don't know if I can say one protects better than the other.

I realize the commuter covers more area such as the back.

(I'm trying to make a decision in which case to buy)

However if the iBand provides more protection in regards to a better bumper I would be inclined to get this case because the back being protected would be irrelevant to me if the iBand provides better protection in all.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share some pics of my Impact Band that I've been using for the past week. To be quite honest, I love it. I was afraid it was gong to make the phone feel too big but it really doesn't at all (in my opinion). There is absolutely no bubbling on my screen protector. The bumper is extremely well made. The fit is perfect and the density of the material doesn't allow for any part to sag at all. I've definitely found my case/bumper. If you purchase this case, I really don't think you will be disappointed at all.

impactband fits the Verizon iPhone 4

Hey everyone,

I wanted to let everyone know that we have confirmed that impactband fits the Verizon iPhone 4 perfectly.
:D

Well I've received a lot of questions about it so I wanted to confirm it on MR. Also if you use the code GEN2 at checkout you can get $2.00 off your purchase. :)

Nice pictures. Does it pickup pocket lint?

What's it like near the edges of the screen, is there enough room for your fingers to touch the areas you normally would?

Thanks for the code, and you actually get $5 discount.. so it's $20 shipped. I just ordered it yesterday lets see how it compared with y current cases when it arrives. I drop my phone a lot so I need great protection but at the same time would love to use a carbon fibre back.

I'm sure u'll love it. I've been dropping my iPhone for almost a year now with impactband installed (intentionally and not intentionally ) and I haven't had one problem. impacband may not be the prettiest bumper available but it will protect you iPhone unlike no other.

I've had both revisions of the impact band, and this is my biggest negative about the case. Since it rides so close to the edges of the screen, it makes it VERY hard to type/text/operate the touchscreen near the edge of screen (such as drag icons from/to different homescreens). If you do a lot of texting/email from the phone, this may be a problem for you.

Nice pics karleaglemac! I wanted to let everyone know that in a couple weeks we are releasing colors! Stay tuned for the color options.:)

Oh DAMNIT...I just got mine yesterday and I love it. I would've waited for colors. lol.

I got mine yesterday in the USPS priority and let me tell you...great great case. It's basically a beefed up bumper with ACTUAL drop protection, kinda like how the original bumper should have been.

It does add bulk but because it isn't around the ENTIRE phone, when holding it you are still holding the glass of the phone so it doesn't feel extra bulky.

While I wasn't brave enough to test it out like the demonstration video on BaseOneLab's site, I did drop it from waist level to the concrete of the stockroom I was in today (3 times) and the phone is fine, one time it even flipped over onto it's face. I feel confident that almost anywhere I drop my phone with this case that it will survive.

I'm happy to hear you like our case! Thanks for the great feedback.

I want to let everyone know that we don't have any discount codes available right now but when we do I'll post them on hear for you guys.

Really like the look and feel of the ImpactBand, but it's lifting my Power Support crystal screen protector on the front of the phone in the top corners. :(
