Apologies for all the abuse accepted. Oh wait ...

Even though i never really abused... Thanks for all the help!

I wonder now if they will show where servers are located. I think i heard the 3rd server was better for west coast. Is that correct?

Just thought I'd keep everyone updated that mine is still working on the same server(#1). *knocks on wood*

You're joking, right? It's incredibly useful and productive for me.

well can u give some examples of how its "incredibly" useful and productive?

Do you have a passcode lock on your lockscreen (I'm required to have one because of work exchange email and kids).

no passcode. I text and make dozens of phone calls via siri, set reminders multiple times per day. Find restaurants, gas stations, etc. I'm in my car and on the road all day so it really helps me stay hands-free.

*EDIT: I just press a button on my BT Headset to launch Siri and away I go. All day long. It's awesome.

I just don't buy all the claims of user error here. User error only goes so far and applies to so many (a small percent) of people who can't get it to work.

Yes, IMZDL is reputable- I've done UDID registration and gotten betas from them in the past.

But generally speaking towards all Siri hosts, the issue is greedy proxy hosts who oversell their servers. If it holds 50 people it holds 50 people, not oh we'll take 60 they wont all use it at the same time.

The other possible issue is with having 3 servers and no organization. For instance, say there are 3 servers and each can hold 50 users. How many are on 1? how many on 2? how many on 3? There cant be 80 trying to use #3, 60 trying to use #2, and 10 using #1. Then the #1 people are saying no issues while other are having issues because there are over capacity on the other servers and getting connection rejections. There needs to be organization not a free for all with multiple servers.

Siri proxy hosts need to be prepared. Have the proper server, the proper bandwidth, a GOOD source of keys every 24 hours, etc. or else simply do not host and take people's money. There is no excuse for downtime and then claiming, well we disclaimed it! That's just not equitable or right to do. You guarantee against downtown from server breakdown, internet outages, blacklisted keys, but not failure of proper preparation.

It appears that the only reason I was having problems at work today was that my signal was weak enough to not allow me to use Spire. Right when I got off work and went outside, I tried again and it is working great again. I've used it a lot the last half hour or so and no problems at all.

I signed up and so far it isn't working, so we'll see! Hope it comes online soon. Following on twitter for updates.

Actually just download RedSnow 0.9.10b4 and then you would click Jailbreak and Install Cydia, only when you get to the screen with the boxes, uncheck "install Cydia" (which will leave all the boxes unchecked) and this will update your JB and everything should remain the same on your already JB'd phone.

Thank you so much for your help!

I have one more question.

I downloaded Spire, but when I press and hold the Home Button, I'm getting Voice Control to pop up. I guess I have to reboot tethered. How do you do that?

You need to go to settings>general>siri and then enable Siri.

Looks like Sirizone has stopped taking orders until the servers are stabilized.

From their FB page: "Orders have been taken down until we stabilize the servers"

Location of our Servers:
Server #1 - Sentinel [NYC]
Server #2 - Reliver [Dallas TX]
Server #3 - RevThunder [Fremont, CA]

If you guys do need help, just hop onto their IRC (http://irc.imodzone.net) or

server: irc.imodzone.net
chan: #imodzone

There's usually someone there. If not, just hang around a bit. Whatever you do, don't PM the staff. I'll tell you now that I do ban people who do not read the topic.

Hopefully the servers become more stable. Purchased last night an haven't had it work once yet on any of the servers. I'm in Australia so not sure if it makes a difference or not.

It's a second or two behind at worst I was in the Apple Store and connected to their WiFi and when using the my 4 and a 4S, there wasn't much to call between them. The only time I've found a delay in getting a reply is in my office, where I drop to one bar on 3G for reception.

do i have to rejailbreak with redsnow or can i stay with my jailbreak through absinthe? also, you stated about the one bar on 3g, my ip4 has been stuck on one bar since 4.3.2. i thought everyone had the one bar problem still, how did you fix it? i would love to get my normal bars back.
thanks

i can't buy a proxy, anyone know an eta?

Ah no wonder server #2 works so well.. I live in Dallas! Hahah :)

Whats weird is that I have it on 3 devices. 2 work flawlessly. My iPad was working the 1st day and from then on... no more. Tech support said spire broke even though I dont think it can break :)confused:) and I have to restore and re-jailbbreak :)mad:).

So..I went through all that and guess what??!! Same issue! :)eek:)
Now I am waiting for further instructions...

But the other 2 still work great!

@SiriZone: "Everyone having trouble there is a problem with Apple and its not giving out the ID's for the devices"

So does that mean Apple is blocking the influx of random UDIDs trying to access the Siri server? That could explain why I yet have gotten this to work. I'll give it some more time but if this is an issue on iMZDL's part I'm going to try a different service.

btw the 4th server is supposed to launch in either Tokyo or London so it won't help me out much, the 2nd one is the closest to my location.

I'd say since I got it working last night, its been hit or miss as far as availability (even tho the stats say 100% uptime). I think the stats page needs to submit actual siri queries and see if it gets replies, not just monitor an https port answering. When it answers and works, it works for many requests in a row then stops, and it's very fast, but I'd say just from random tests at various times it's less than 50/50 chance of working at any given time.

I'm still on the first server, and haven't had a non-connection message other than when SiriZone tweeted that the keys were being updated or the server worked on.
