On the other hand, best $20 I ever expended, I done 2 phones by now, first one took about 1 hour to get my email with the info, server 1 failed, tried second, worked just fine and it had been working since them (at least every time that i used it which it isn't every second of the day). Did my second phone after they took the order down, order right when they posted on FB that the orders were backup, i got my confirmation email instantly (about 30sec after I placed the order), Server 1 failed again, tried the new server (server4) and again it had been working since then. :D

Same here; working perfectly for ~ 1 week now on my wife's ip4.

Everything was working fine up until today, now none of the servers are working. As someone stated earlier it's probably down to greed. They've oversubscribed and now the servers can't handle all the requests. Sucks really, it worked perfectly the first 4 days.

mine still works 99% of the time. I uses reliever most of the time and sometimes switch to rev thunder.

Restored, JB again, trying all three iMZDL servers tonight. No luck so far.

For those people that are still having issues on getting it to work...try this!

1. Turned off Siri on General then remove the proxy url on Spire. after that i rebooted my phone.

2. I deleted all the profiles that i downloaded in the beginning(Sentinel/Reliever/RevThunder). reboot the phone.

3. i installed all the 3 profiles again from the e-mail that i got when i bought it. then i copy pasted the "Sentinel" proxy url to spire and then turned on Siri. I did another reboot again.

4. after the reboot, i tested to see if it was working and it did!

NOW MY SIRI WORKS AGAIN!

Did exactly what u suggested. Still no luck. It's high time imzdl do something instead of just taking new orders.

My Siri is off since 2 days now.

Looks like all they care is for new customers. They don't wanna give two **** about te existin ones.

I really thought they were really good and had 5-6 of my friends ready to pay them. Now m just gonna tell them not to go ahead..

While I am happy for the people this is working for, I also haven't been able to use it in two days now. It looks like this is a not so cheap lesson for me - if I see something like this again and it sounds interesting to me, don't jump in right away. I will just wait it out and see how it works for other people first. I guess the only way that I will be able to access Siri is to get an iPhone 4s or wait until this summer or so when the next gen comes out.

It wasn't working on my iPhone 4 for about a day and a half and suddenly started working fine a few hours ago. Seems it's a matter of luck, patience, and perseverance. I recommend removing profiles, reloading them, reboots, all three servers (make sure to put the S in https://) and toggling Siri on/off.

I have a 4S so I don't really care one way or the other but I talked myself into getting it for my brother and he's in love with it. While it's had it's struggled, it works most of the time.

Such a bad business idea, working off the back of deception.

As much as I want Siri, I want 100% reliability and with this method, you'll never get that.

i4Siri is one to watch. And it is probably going to be free. It isn't Siri, but will have Siri functionality and for all intents and purposes will replace Siri and possibly over take it with the ability to add custom plugins to the server.

Ok FINALLY up and running on the fourth UK server (178.79.156.131).

What I did was replace the .plist file located in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences with this: http://siri.imzdl.com/com.apple.assistant.plist

Disable Siri

Reboot phone

Delete the .plist file you just replace in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences (so there should be no com.apple.assistant.plist)

I then went to settings>general and enabled/disable siri about 10 times, tried using siri but I got the sorry message, tried again and it worked. I guess it's just pot luck whether you get it working or not! Good luck guys.

+1

I tried both paid services and only got a single response from one of the servers in nearly a week of trying.

I've done every so called 'fix' published here and elsewhere. No joy.

It's been 24 hours and still no luck for me. Greed is the main culprit. Clearly, they couldn't sustain so many customers. Still they kept on adding the new ones. M really disappointed after a good start.

People ...please don't throw away your $20!!!!!

Imzdl is good people BUT they don't have the structure to support all the customer. They do have a disclaimer regarding service not working all the time....but it does not relieve them providing a decent service.

Agreed on the GREED!!!!

Everything was working fine up until today, now none of the servers are working. As someone stated earlier it's probably down to greed. They've oversubscribed and now the servers can't handle all the requests. Sucks really, it worked perfectly the first 4 days.

And everyone probably thought I was crazy when I said this 2-3 days ago that it boils down to greed with these Spire hosts. Pure money and greed.

Oversell your server, don't have readily available 4S keys every 24 hours, etc. If you can't connect then its 99% NOT YOUR FAULT, but overselling of the servers and not enough keys.

It works this way. Each 4S key can comfortably accept 15 connections (that I know, could be a few more). You have 5 4S keys fed to the server, you can hold 75 people on the server. Problem is twofold; either they are selling 90 people on a 75 slot server, which means 15 people cannot connect at all while 75 are saying oh it works fine. This could explain the discrepancies we are seeing with some saying it works perfect and some that can't connect at all. The 2nd issue is lets say the day you sign up they had 6 keys and all 90 people could connect just fine- everyone happy. But the next day the server is only fed 5 4S keys, then 15 people are seeing cannot connect ("I can't help you right now" from Siri).

My feelings, if you're going to host do it responsibly. If you don't have a 100% reliable source for the number of keys you need every single 24 hours, then DON'T HOST and DON'T TAKE PEOPLE'S MONEY. Period. If your servers cant take the customer load you are signing up, DON'T TAKE THEIR MONEY. It's SO simple here.

There's a difference between oops I can't get that 5th key for another 6 hours, and this kind of wild negligence occurring with VARIOUS PAID Spire servers. This is people paying hard earned money for a service that hosts misrepresented to these people as running just fine, while disclaiming an and all liability for anything they do wrong.

No one sees a problem with this? If you are honest you don't have to disclaim liability other than a small sentence that says we cannot guarantee 100% up time due to power outages, natural server hiccups, etc. Not that we promise nothing to you despite the fact that you gave us money.

Sorry for being long winded but I'm sick of these Spire hosts taking advantage of people while people dumping large sums of cash at them ($20 a pop times 500 users is a decent amount of money we're talking here). If you cannot connect for long periods of time, or never could, DEMAND a refund. Everyone ask for refunds of charge back. If you don't get the service you paid for them do NOT just sit there and bend over and take it. If your cable TV was out 20 days of the month, you'd be cancelling service in a heartbeat, why lets these Spire hosts get away with this? You owe them nothing and they owe you service for the money you paid.

These people should theoretically have 98% and up uptimes if they were PROPERLY PREPARED with daily 4S keys and a good server setup anticipating reasonable demand. But they are simply not prepared with daily enough daily keys and did not invest any startup capital for proper servers (go out and buy 3 or 4 to start, not 1 when you sell 100 slots the first day). They are hedging on people paying them to then go buy more servers 1 by 1. Not a proper business model, and yes once you start selling slots its a business.

I will stick with free servers for now from the people who do it for the fun of it, not to make profit off you. And I have found a few free ones than seem to go down less than paid ones at that.

Mine is working on reliever now.

For me, even if my siri stops working forever right now, the $20 was still worth the thrill of the hack itself. And if it does continue to work, it'll be easier for me to wait for the iPhone 5! Siri was the only 4S feature i really care about at the moment but I wasn't going to waste an upgrade on it. So a $20 siri upgrade to my iPhone 4 is worth every penny.

You must work for imzdl

This company is greedy....what a waste of a good company
They don't have the infrastructure to support all the customers

Very informative!!
Please do not use this proxy....I thought they were legit....they are in the process of scamming people

No he doesn't work for them, he is just an person that understand the nature of the unofficial hack, he is also happy since he believe that he is getting his money worth. If he (or anyone else wants more) they can go ahead and get a 4s. for now he is very happy with what is getting for those $20 ( as I am) ;)

Stulaw11....which free server you found that work?

I have no luck with any of them posted here on this forum

I've decided that both imzdl and uhelios are SCAMS. Imzdl did work but only for two days and I've had it since this thread started. Tried uhelios and it failed over and over and also he wanted you install a program called uSirity claiming his servers would not function without it. My guess is it's a trojan horse and he wants all your info you send through Siri. Screw that.

I was on the verge of calling it quits for good when I found yet another pay for proxy service. I don't want to release name of said server due to what happened with the others I tried but I have had great success with them so far and the best part was that they didn't even ask for my UDID. I might have finally found some place reliable and they have a very strict policy on proxy sharing. It appears they are only going to let in what they can handle. But money talks, and I hope the greed doesn't take these guys like it has the others.

Now I don't even get the error messages that she can't take any requests rigght now.

All I get is the Siri processing with the circular animation. I have no idea why this is happening..

I wouldn't really say "scam" per say. I really believe these hosts started out with good intentions to run a good server. But then you start seeing $15 or $20 a pop flying in dozens at a time and greed controls. They obviously do not have the steady and constant stream of 4S keys required which is sad as there are plenty of ways to arrange that. Get donaters/friends to donate their keys on a daily basis at a set time. Pay people $1 a day or something small to regularly upload 4S keys. Without keys at a set time every day, the server will not function or not accept its peak load of users. It's a very easy fix but the hosts don't seem to care once they have your money.

BTW Usirity is something you install through Cydia, has nothing to do with your PC or a trojan horse (likely just a plist tweak to get the server connection). Just FYI.

Well I did initially install the program but none of the three or four servers I tried from him connected (though I'll give him some credit - he did have like 8-9 different servers to chose from). I didn't feel right having to install another program when other places don't require you to.

But in the mean time, it's good to have Siri back, especially with all the money I've spent on her.

Apparently Apple is now banning by IP Address, any one have insider or has heard about this?

I'm starting to feel a bit ripped off by this also. I'll give them a few days to fix things and then I probably will ask whether they have some sort of refund policy. It's not right to pay $20 and have it work for a few days only.

To everyone complaining, I urge you to have PATIENCE!!!!! Mine works 99% of the time and is so fast. Give them some time to sort all of this out. It has been a great $20 spent. Patience. I know its a hard concept to understand in the world we live in today but please try. It really is worth it.

I ask for a refund...because my service works less than 50% of the time...T
THIS IS THE KIND OF ARROGANT REPLY I GOT FROM IMZDL.....

That is untrue, we can handle the load but Apple doesn't seem to allow us. We are working hard on this. If you read the terms you would know. Access to Siri proxy servers aren't as reliable as many make it seem; therefore, we do not guarantee access to the servers on a 24/7 basis. We cannot guarantee server access because we must perform maintenance, occasionally the servers can crash, and sometimes we cannot get new keys in right away. We will not refund any money because your device cannot connect to our servers 100% of the time. Also understand that the people monitoring the servers are not able to do so all day.
