Resurrection!

Has anybody with the beta noticed this feature at all... I have been playing with this beta for a day now and have been unable to find it.

Sigh, this entire thread...

In-App SMS is NOT an OS feature, it's an SDK feature. What it means is, devs can now have an app send a text, or access your SMS/MMS database. Example: you know how currently you can tap "Send Email" inside an app, and then you can write the email from WITHIN the app, instead of your app closing and the Mail app opening? Now you can do that same thing with texting.

Cool feature, assuming devs take advantage of it and add it to their apps. Quick Reply would be much cooler though, like biteSMS does for jailbroken phones.

Ahh and that is what assuming gets me. I was thinking more of something like biteSMS. Well dang. Thank you sir.

Hello guys,

I'm the owner of the said picture showing the "in-app SMS'ing".

Just to confirm I took the screenshot when my iPhone 3GS was Jailbroken. This is NOT, I repeat NOT an official feature of any of the iOS'.

I believe the app was called QuickReply from the Cydia Store.

Perhaps I should have stated that on my Flickr page.
