MD845LL/A is the 11" ... I didn't ask about the 13" because IMO at that size with an "ultimate" config I'd just up to the new MBP... but I spend a LOT of time in an airplane seat, often regional jets, and for that sole purpose a 11" is my ideal travel system.

But... battery life :(

I'm not sure what that's referring to? The 15" is bad battery or the 11" is bad battery? More and more aircraft have power on long-haul flights now, so it's becoming less and less of an issue either way. Anything business\first domestic or international has power. And there are very few flights where 4 hours (reasonable to get from any mac laptop) won't get you through (even a BOS>LAX is 6 hours, and you figure it takes 30 minutes just to hit the electronics elevation and then 30 minutes prior to landing... if you want to sit and watch movies for that time get an iPad.... :)

The 11", but yeah I guess it's not a big deal if your flights are only like 5 hrs of useable time. I was just really hoping that they would increase the battery in this year's revision of the 11". Only thing that made me purchase the 13".

There's not many airlines running flights longer than 5 hours without AC power anymore. It's become the norm. The trans-con flights on VX, DL, & UA all have AC power at minimum of 2 per 3 seats, many with AC at each seat. It's a non-issue. People want performance over power, because the only thing that really sucks the power out is movies, which laptops as movie screens have been replaced for the most part by iPads and tablets.

I just flew air france/delta (767-300) from paris last week (11 hours) and there was no AC power. On the way out there I flew an A330 which had power in economy plus and up.

Must have been Air France... not sure why you put "air france\delta" they're different airlines. They codeshare, and JV on some routes, but it's still one or the other. I'm guessing AF is what you flew. Economy Plus is United Airlines, and they don't fly 330's, so I'm confused. My guess is it was AF, they're not known for the best in-cabin technology.

Either way, shoulda flown business or better, then u never have to worry about it... ;-)

PLUS, on an 11 hour flight it wouldn't matter if the airs had the best battery on the market, even the ASUS\Sony that has the "12 hour battery" really gets about 6 hours of movies with brightness anyhow... so you're screwed either way.

the flight was ticketed as air france but operated by delta. on the way out there it was ticketed as klm and still operated as delta.

i meant economy comfort for the delta flights.. i misspoke on economy plus.
