In-Store BTO on 16" MBP

Anyone find a high spec model in store in California, SF Bay Area? Pick-up options for this config still show Nov. 29th. I had no luck stopping by an Apple store Saturday morning. It was so crazy in there, like usual, I forgot to ask if they ever had them in or knew when they would, etc.

I assume if I call listed store numbers it would be some call center, not the actual stores. I’ll try anyway.

All the stores in my area sold out on Friday.

Keep checking. Apple stores in my region sold out over the weekend, but is now back in stock (Western New York state).

Just keep an eye on it, in my area they sold out Friday, and then every store got more on Saturday, and most sold out by Sunday. Saw more pop up today, so looks like they are getting stock everyday.

Just to confirm, you checked by simply configuring the computer for the high-spec to see if pick for today was available?

Yeah, the only high spec model they carry in stores is the 2.4, 5500 8 GB, 32 Ram, 2 TB model. So it is either that model or the two base models in store, otherwise you have to build to order.

Good news, it suddenly appeared for pick-up today. Just completed the order and also chose a trade in for my base 2017 MacBook 12 ($430) - originally paid $999 2 years ago.

Checked my local store in NC and they have the 2.4 / 1tb / 5500 8gb 32gb in stock. I was there Saturday and they didn't have them.
