My second post in this thread states I was not seriously thinking this was possible.

Ok, maybe you got me on this one :) I do not intend to do something dishonest, however.

I in no way did anything dishonest in this transaction and I implore you to prove otherwise.

Lighten up man! Many times over the years, through my own experiences and those of other posters on MR, some geniuses have been shown to not be too bright.

Wait is that it? Are you a genius? I kid, I kid :) But seriously, this is a light-hearted thread, so I again invite you to take the negativity elsewhere!

So, we have an answer: short of being eligible for an upgrade the only (legit) way to get a white iPhone 4 on the cheap is to sell your black one and then use that to defray the cost of buying a white.

I wanted a white two when they came out, but frankly, it's not worth the hassle for me to do all that. I'll just wait for the iPhone 4S/5/whatever the hell the next one will be called.

I wasn't being an a$$, bud. We all know that is the only official way you'll get one. This thread is meant to be one that everyone can share their plans for getting a white iPhone 4 without "being eligible for an upgrade"
 
So my request for no negativity stops the thread in its tracks?! I refuse to go down like that! :)

What are some plans of you current black iPhone 4 owners...let's here them!
 
You could always work as a street walker pulling tricks to get the white iPhone 4...
 
Here's how I am getting one:

My girlfriend recently bought a HTC Inspire and no longer wants it. Since she is still within her 30 day exchange policy we are gonna go get the White iPhone and she will take my black one.

She thinks the Android OS is garbage.

find a friend or family member that is upgrading or activating a new line, get them to get the white and trade your black one and add cash to get them to do this
 
I wanted a white one really bad, and was going to sell my black one for a white one. Now, though, after seeing that pic of a larger-screened iPhone I may just wait another 4 months. But man oh man do I want one.

If I buy my wife a new white iPhone4 and give her current black iPhone4 to our daughter, can I switch the phone numbers on the two phones?

so you're not willing to spend the money, but am fine with making a complete idiot of yourself to get a white one? more power to you i guess. i suggest holding your breath or throwing a tantrum on the floor until they give you want you want. works for kids

when did he mention gaming the system?
if he asks to swap, and apple allows it, then more power to him
if he finds a way to get an upgrade on his contract (adding a line, etc) then what he did is totally allowed

nowhere in here has anything illegal or against policy been suggested or requested

So my mom was going to buy an iphone 4 anyways, so she will buy the white one, I will give her my black one, and the line will still be available for upgrade bythe time of the iphone 5. Perfect.

Thanks. I was totally being facetious and I guess it was lost on everyone. This thread was taken much to seriously!
