Yeah, maybe the release isn't coming until march. If apple was gonna release I think it would be today.
It wouldn't make sense for apple to release tomorrow, next week or up coming weeks and miss out on the opportunity they had today.

Not sure why people held on to the belief it would be today when it didn't make much sense.

Pro/Max chip owners aren't using those basic Apple "Creator Studio" apps.

Look at the apps Apple benchmarked when M5 was released. It was Premier Pro, Topaz Video, Blender, Cyberpunk, Xcode, and LM Studio.

February was always more likely because it if were January, Apple would have grouped the entire M5 family launch together rather than splitting them.

understandable.

But reality yoo have those users waiting for the pro and max chips.

SHOOT, even majority of people dont realize how powerful the m5 base is and waiting for pro chips.

why do you think everyday people are question whether to get an m5 vs m4pro.

so it makes a lot of sense for apple to release today ...you see how many people were waiting so.

Most of these forums and Reddit are echo chambers.

Consumers out there are not buying a $2,800 MBP with 48GB RAM to run $12.99/month Apple Creator Studio. Most people just buy a $1,000 or $1,500 MBA and call it day. Those are the real customers for Studio.

If you subtract the noise from the fanboys, it never made sense for M5 Pro/Max to be today.

why not?

Im one of those people that always maxed out my laptop and spent $3,000.

To say its fanboys and not real customers ...trippin.

You can't say it didn't make sense when all major Mac forums and outlets even made predictions about today.

I always said it would prob be march tho with MacBook Air.

I do believe we would get some type of rumors before they drop per usual.

oh but my I add this is the first time a base m5 has been the best laptop ive owed out of all my Macs that I spent a lot of money on. Even an iMac Pro.. hasn't given me any problems with everything ive thrown at it. from graphic, editing to music. im not doing much have coding these days.

But that also could because of the silicon chips

my first was an m2 MacBook Air which I down grade cause the form factor.

maybe im not so much a power user but Intel Macs def need top of the line for what I did

to where now I don't feel the need to max out anything or upgrade to a pro chip.

I can't wait to see the reviews when they come out.

Waiting causes me headaches. Once they are released, choosing among many different variations of configurations also causes me headaches.

why I ended up going with the base model.I couldn't wait . forgot we also have a cheaper MacBook version coming out...that could also lead to the hold up

I get what you are saying, but part of the Creative Studio bundle are promised new Machine Learning and AI focused features for all Apps, including Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro which both standalone versions were updated along side the Creative Studio. There are definitely people out there buying $2,800 Macs that make a living with those apps.

Apple is potentially primed to be a real competitor to Nvidia dominance in ML and AI performance with M5 Pro/Max based on how the M5 has been performing. Nvidia has no real competition in the Workstation and Enthusiast areas and have really gotten away with neglecting those users. Plus, rising RAM prices means that Apple's Unified Memory architecture will likely be an advantage to pro users (like Davinci Resolve video editors) that would otherwise need to spend a small fortune on PC with enough RAM and even more on a GPU with a suitable amount of VRAM for their workflow. Apple Silicon doesn't need that dedicated VRAM.

From what I saw, one site, macworld.com, speculated that Apple would launch the M5 Pro/Max MBPs at the same time as Apple Creator Studio on January 28. This got them a lot of clicks, so other sites, not wanting to be left out, posted their own articles about it. Most of these simply cited macworld.com as their source. There was NOTHING from the professional analysts or the supply chain to support it. Nada. Zilch. Zero.

Those of us who are waiting to buy M5 Pro or Max MBPs--and I confess I'm as guilty as anyone--jumped on this and fanned the flames because it was what we wanted to hear.

I don't know the psychology of product launches, but I would think the low-cost MacBook would be released later in the spring, or even the early summer, to keep it fresh and exciting for back-to-school purchases in August and September.

If apple didn't drop it with the creator studio...its not gonna be until atleast march. which I always thought cause thats usually apples cycle. and with the air. If it was going to be in feb I dont see why they wouldn't wait to release the creator studio...its extra incentive to drive revenue up . apple not gonna leave money on the table .

I should spend the time to select Windows laptop.
