It's funny, because the cases I liked for the 3GS I don't like for the iPhone 4 and vice versa. I loved the feather on the 3G but it looks like crap on the 4. I didn't like the sliders before because they were so round and fat looking. I think these are the nicest, slimmest sliders I've seen, compared to the candy slider and SGP. I just don't like how huge the lip around the screen is on those. The incase looks really nice this time around.....simple. I'm still curious to see what the incipio edge looks like.

I love InCase. But I seriously think they dropped the ball on this one. The cases just look too plain and dont look that great. The new slider case doesnt really look that different from my $10 snap-on hard case that i got on launch day. After the long wait, I was expecting something better.

I think I am going to just get the SGP Ultra Slider Case instead - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyJndifzAZg - cause it looks way better. It's also one of the only cases that's not only good looking but also provides solid drop protection.

Also for what it's worth you can find cases similar to the Perforated case on eBay for $4.45

Does the SGP Ultra Slider Case have something covering the back?

Those cases look like they'd definitely have flash problems.

What specifically causes the flash problems? Because the cutouts on the slider and snap versions look different (snap version cutout looks to be a lot closer to the flash).

Incase said these are just renderings and not real pictures, so the cutouts could be the same but they just messed up the rendering

Yeah theres a transparent (hopefully glass/plastic) cover on the back. See the video. Thing looks good

I have a similar case to the perforated one that I got on eBay and it doesnt have flash problems

I am really interested in buying the Ultra slider, but surely it defeats the object of being a slider because when you slide the bottom off you still have the thick plastic part covering the back, as this doesn't de-attatch with the bottom (see the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyJndifzAZg) which would stop it from being dockable...

When they say the cases will be available the last week of July, I wonder if they mean in B&M retail stores or just online. I find that their stuff tends to sit "Sold Out" on their site for many of their other products. At this point, I'd rather just hop over to BestBuy or something.

the tolerances for the Incase may be different than the 3G. And Power Support has said they're reformulating their film for the ip4. It's anyone's guess until they're in the wild.

maybe you'd be better off with this...

ROFL Big is a great movie.

I'm very interested in picking up a slider case .I had one for my 3G and for the most part liked it. It did add a bit too much bulk/weight for my liking and I had issues with it fitting with a PS anti-glare film on, but I'll give it another try.

Are these cases part of the free deal from apple?

One can only hope. Incase is sold at the Apple store so perhaps but I doubt it though because they are not available yet.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong. Either way I will be getting an incase slider the minute they hit the market.

So when are the cases coming?

Is anyone else a bit put off by the amount of time and lack of information from Incase?

I realize that it takes time to make a good case that will not have the issues and problems the other cases are causing but at least let us see some better pictures so we can decide to wait for them or move on to a different manufacturer. The option to pre-order would be helpful as well.

I just think they are dropping the ball on this one and are turning loyal customers to other products and losing the fan base and the $$$.

Take a look at all the other companies who have already redesigned their cases after rushing to market. If you bought one of their V1 cases you'd be bummed when they came out with a redesign a month later.

Incase's approach means more time designing a better product and less time/resources processing returns of rushed products.

I realize that and that is why I stated that in my original post. Yes I am upset that they aren't out yet but my real beef is that they have not communicated any further information about the release of their product line for the I4.

They clearly stated that they would be available by month's end and yes I do realize that we aren't quite there yet but they could at least provide some additional pictures or information about them seeing as the pictures originally released were not even pictures just renderings.

Thats them announced now for release.

Starting today, a selection of Incase iPhone 4 products are available for order through our webstore. First available are our signature Slider Case and Snap Case with more colors and case styles to follow.
We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure that all of our cases have been tested to be 100 percent compatible with iPhone 4. To that end, all Incase cases for iPhone 4 feature a Flash Ring*, an unobtrusive, co-molded piece surrounding the camera cutout. This innovative feature is designed to prevent glare interference during camera usage when your iPhone 4 is in a case. The Flash Ring ensures crisp images, eliminating unwanted photo distortion when shooting with or without flash.

Bummed that the white Slider isn't available at launch. I'll preorder that one as soon as it's available. Love Incase products.

yeah I was waiting for these but after seeing the price plus 9 bucks for shipping totaling at 45 for a case I'm gonna pass.

I'll prob just go pick up an incipio for 25..

sucks because these are my favorite but it's not worth it to pay almost 50 for a case when there are so many others for half that price that are just as good

Woo hoo ordered the black slider case!

Im hoping it will work with my screen protector, otherwise its going back!

same here, waiting for mr free smoke snap case from them. as much as I love Incase, I'm not paying $45-50 for a case. even $35 at retail is steep. I'll wait to check them out In stores to make my final decision. I have a bumper so I'm good for now.

So is the 'Black Frost' the equivalent of the 'Smoke' available through the bumper program? If so, that's a bummer that it's mid August ship.

yeah I could be alright with it in store without paying extra for shipping but when all of these other cases are cheaper and they don't even charge for shipping I'd feel like an idiot paying that much.

Hopefully incipio comes out with the black edge slider soon. If not I guess I'm gonna go with the ngp.

Can't imagine paying this much for a case. For shipping and handling $45+ total:eek: I'll wait until it gets in stores.
