Oh cool, so if I show them the Apple store price then they will hopefully drop it to that price which is reasonable ($30).

I only have proof that the Apple online store sells it for that so they'll either have to take my word for it that the Apple brick and mortar store sells it for the same price or call them I guess. I might try to get one this evening.

That's really weird that best buy would sell it for $40. Even incase only sells it for $30 online through their site.

It's possible that the person on the phone read it wrong or something. She also said it was in the photo section which doesn't really make sense.

If you can show them proof that a brick and mortar store sells it for less, Best Buy will price match. I got my Targus stylus dropped from $17.99 to 8.99 because Sears sold it for that. (Or it was a misprint on their site)

Talked to the best buy where I bought my case. They say it has to be 1) at a brick and mortar store for 2) a lower price, and 3) they have to have it in stock.

Considering that the apple store online says it's shipping in 2-3 weeks, and the OKC apple store doesn't have it, it looks like I'm hosed.

Yes, I could go and throw a hissy fit at customer service, but I don't know if it's worth my time to drive and stand in line for the possibility of getting $10 back.

Looks like Best Buy is getting to charge a 'we got it before anyone else around here' premium.

Yeah I see your point. If an Apple store in Houston has it, I wonder if they would call them up to verify the price or if the price has to be advertised in print.

I got mine! I had to go to 2 different Best Buy's to find it in stock (I guess it's popular). Even though the price on the shelf said $39, they sold it to me for $29 because it said $29 on the computer when they looked it up.

At first I wasn't sure if I liked it because it seemed so simple and plastic. However once I put the keyboard in it and the iPad on it it looked and worked great - very stable. I find it is slightly bigger than the keyboard sleeve I was using before because the leather sleeve followed the contours of the keyboard better and the Origami case does not. I don't think that's a big deal though. It seems like it'll be great when I'm traveling and want to have a keyboard with me. And since I'm forgetful enough to not carry my stand everywhere, it will be great to always have a stand whenever I bring the keyboard.

By the way, if anybody is interested, I am selling the other keyboard sleeve on eBay.

One thing that might take some getting used to is the fact that the iPad itself is kind of low and close to the keyboard compared to other stands. On the plus sides, it's stable enough that you can push the home button and interact with the screen without knocking it over or moving it at all. It also seems like it will work well with a variety of iPad cases.

Please excuse the ugly case. I have a better one on order, and I got this one for $1.50. :)

Another thought about this case. The keyboard attaches very securely to the case itself through a metal snap-in attachment. So it's a bit of a pain to take the keyboard out of it (although it's not a huge deal). However if you want to leave the keyboard in it, I find that you can just fold it over as shown below and it works pretty well. In the first picture, I have the velcro tabs foldered inwards which makes the keyboard sit a bit high, but you can fold them outwards instead which makes it more usable (second photo).

I just bought yesterday at Best Buy for $29. When they first had it, it was $39. They are quietly lowering the price. Keep checking.

Wow - great find at Target. I bought mine back in January at an Apple store for $29.95. Worth every penny to me as I don't need a keyboard very often - but really need one when I need it. I keep it in my iPad bag so that it's always handy.

I have to say that not only is it a beautiful design, but as someone above mentioned and showed, there is flexibility in how you use it and I like that a lot.

I would highly recommend it - especially if you can find it on sale!

this is a very slick design! I saw a lot of cases with built in keyboards, which makes the case bulky and the keyboard is just too small. I think it's good that Incase thinks outside the box and makes a bigger keyboard with a stand.

That being said, Incase is just so damn expensive!!

FYI, I did a quick "fix" on my origami workstation by cutting some small rectangles of adhesive velcro (the soft "felt" part, not the the hard hooks part) and sticking them to the back of the plastic brackets that touch the iPad. I haven't heard any cases of the plastic brackets scratching the iPad glass, but I figure better safe than sorry.

I absolutely love my Origami Workstation. It really works well with my iPad2 and I really like the fact that no matter which version of the iPad you have, it works.
