Ended up buying this case and WOW the quality of this case is 100x better than life proof fre. The glass screen in front is spectacular.
But speaker sound is horrible just like the other waterproof cases.

Looks like I will be using my magpul during the day and this at the gym in evening since I am always inside jacuzzi, pool, steam room etc. will keep it for few days and see how it goes

Good luck taking it on and off every day. It's not easy. Use it a lot for a few days. I noticed the sound improved a lot. I just turned on music and let it play a few hours.

Is this case real. The seller on ebay says it is authentic. Incipio cannot confirm. I haven't seen this color scheme before

Buy it and let us know how the waterproof test and sound quality do!

If its better, I'll return mine and get this one, even if it is a knockoff :D

Wait! Be carful in steam rooms and hot water!

Waterproof and steam proof are not the same thing. Stream and vapour will get through things that water can't. This is what makes things like Gortex waterproof and breathable (not sure about the atlas, but most water proof cases use Gortex for the earpiece/speakers).

hmm didnt even think of that..will look into it..

also, this case is PAIN IN THE A$$ to take off, wow.

The design of this case is not meant to allow it to be taken off/on.

Once its on, it should stay on, it does not like to be taken off

It wants to stay comfy ;)

When I got the case, I went into the shower, turned on to hot, let it steam and tried to remove as much dust from the phone screen as possible before putting on the case.

I probably wont take it off for a couple months to see how it holds up in terms of keeping dust out.

Be aware that when you open the bottom cover to charge, some dust may seep into the port.

Yea ain't that the truth.....so am I the only one who's backplate cracked? Lol :(

mine felt like it was gonna crack too from trying to open it...i used it twice and now i am returning it because if i keep it, either i will break this case opening it or break my nail...

how the heck did your backplate crack?

was it from bending it when trying to take it off or being dropped?

From bending trying to take it off. That case is a pain in the butt to take off. I honestly didn't think I was using enough force to snap it. I'm pulling it back n suddenly I hear *snap* n my heart sunk lol I doubt incipio will replace this now

No cracked back plate here. I've taken the phone out quite a few times already and all I did was slowly pry the back plate out. There's tabs (or something like it) on the sides of the back plate. Next time just be patient and slowly pop the tabs out like a Otterbox Defender.

The case is a keeper for me. This tempered glass screen protector is the best thing ever to happen to a dustproof/waterproof case. :p

I would have kept the Otterbox Armor if it had the same kind of screen protector though. Installing and removing my phone from the Otterbox Armor was a breeze.

My backplate snapped in half today. I spoke w/ Incipio and Verizon and since it was less than 90 days old, they let me exchange it. I decided to try out the LP Fre as I already have the Griffin Catalyst coming. I am pleasantly surprised w/ how much better this case is; I guess they made enough improvements to actually have a good case. Anyway, call whoever you bought the case from, tell them you spoke to Incipio and that the company said that as long as it was within 90 days, you should bring it back to the place you bought it. If they tell you know, speak to a manager. Worked for me!!

Thanks ill try that. I ordered it from Verizon so I'm hoping I could get a replacement. I might even swap it out for Mophie that they have in the store because I've kinda given up on the Atlas

So when you went to the Verizon store, did they give you any crap about returning it? I'm past my 14 day return period and it being cracked and seeing how some of the employees at my local Verizon store are jerks I can already see them giving me a hard time about returning it.

Call them first. If they say no, call verizon. There's a 90 return policy; threaten to dispute charge (if you paid by cc.). I can't imagine them saying no. It has to be a corporate store though...

Thanks bud ill have to try that. Hopefully they can let me exchange it for a different case

Damn, I'm so confused now. I thought this was it, but the LP seems to have improved lot now. What to do...

Deal with whatever problems you encounter with whatever case you choose to purchase.

The latest LifeProof Fre case that I used still had oil slicks. That's the only thing I can see as a problem to those who have OCD. I encountered absolutely no audio problems or flash problems with the LifeProof Fre I had.

I'm happy with the Atlas. IMHO it's perfect. I like the tempered glass screen protector and have no audio issues since I use a bluetooth headset, speaker, and car deck most of the time. The screen has no oil slicks. Only thing I don't like is that it's a little slippery just like the LifeProof Fre.

The Armor was a great case IMHO. Screen protector had a slight oil slick effect and the audio coming out of the membrane when using the spearkphone or when listening to music was perfect. Only issue I can see people having with the Armor is how bulky it is when compared to the Atlas and the LifeProof Fre.

I like this case more than the Fre, but has anyone had an issue where Siri gets automatically activated?

Its like the button is always inadvertently pushing down on the home button. I can get this to stop if I unclip the lower portion, so I think the pressure is a bit too high squeezing the phone?

I don't have any screen protectors or any thing else on the phone.

Regardless, I submitted a warranty return and hope to get a new one.

So apparently AT&T has gotten on board and began selling the Atlas...

anyone brave enough to go get one and compare the sound quality with one that they originally got from verizon?

I'm curious to know if the inventory at&t stores have may have alleviate some of the sound quality issues that verizon stores Atlas cases had..

Incipio Atlas waterproof case is a true game changer, it has changed my mind and has given a proof that there can be a true waterproof cases. Actually, I have used many such cases but was never successful in that terms. This case with a sleek design looks much better, perfect wherever you carry it.

Deep man, deep.

So I tried to return it to Verizon like Philly2 did but no dice (as i expected). They made it very clear. Once the 14 days where up, I was SOL. so I contacted Incipio and my warranty claim was approved. Just need to send it out to them. Hopefully my warranty replacement will work better. And I might try to sell it on eBay or Craigslist since I tend to switch cases everyday and the backplate is definitely not meant to be taken off often. I really didn't think it would snap that easily lol
