Incipio NGP mute button not addressed

So after I preordered my 4s last friday I immediately went to amazon to pick up a new case. On my 3gs I had used an Incipio case and found that the NGP had great reviews on amazon. I ended up ordering one (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SX0P2E)

Come today, of course my iPhone isn't activating thanks to ATT, so I try the case on only to be disappointed again: the mute button on the case hardly lines up. So maybe the Amazon title was mislabeled I thought? Looking at my packaging (picture below) the sku for my case is IPH-530 (iPhone 4s Matte Gunmetal Case). Going onto Incipio's site, the sku is IPH-530 as well.

So it seems as though the designed is flawed. Looks as if they are using the ATT iPhone 4 design still which has the mute button higher up. Good thing Amazon is good on returns, but I wish the case would've fit like advertised.

I have the same case on my 4. I love it but I wanted to pick up one for the 4s too. I went to target and noticed that the cut out was the same so I knew it wouldnt work. It stinks. I love the NGP

ya, seems like a great case. Did they alter it at all of verizon users? or did they think that the cutout was sufficient?

I just sent their customer service an email. will update when i get a response
 
no i dont believe they ever addressed the change for verizon so the 4s is a NO too.

I neatly but mine with an exacto blade. Hopefully they will finally make these changes.
 
That sucks. Do the volume buttons align perfectly with the 4s or are they off too?. Does everything else fit right?.

I have the same one
Emailed CS on Thursday and they said they will fit no problem
Fitted it yesterday and it's way off. Fired them an email straight away.

Incipio CS are great tho I had the feather last year with the peeling issue and they replaced it no probs.
 
Thanks for posting the info. I have a Verizon Iphone 4s and was going to order this case.

Oh well, back to the drawing board...........

Why do people keep saying they have a Verizon/Sprint/AT&T 4S? Isn't there only one dual band phone now?

Right, black ones have the 527. all their cases start with IPH-5XX. The XX simply designate which color. All these cases are probably made with the same mold, so every color will most likely have this problem.
 
I don't have my 4S yet, but I picked one of these up today. I noticed that the one I bought looks different than yours (sorry about the quality, I obviously don't have the 4S):

yea i bought one at walmart today, matte smoke ? and it fits perfect for my verizon iphone 4s

its a very nice case for the price, and looks very nice, i also bought a pouch at walmart too, fits the iphone with the case very well
 
My girlfriend and I both bought Incipio NGPs for our 4S's, and both have the same issue. She has the TGT-IPH-529 (Purple from Target, they seem to have their own UPC) and I have the IPH-529 (translucent Mercury) from ProVantage.

I emailed Incipio as well, will post any feedback I get. Hoping I can exchange the cases directly with them.

Button issue aside, I really like these cases. They slip easily into the pocket yet are grippy enough so that I don't feel like I'm going to drop the phone.
 
That's too bad. I emailed incipio as well on Friday and have still heard nothing. I'll update this thread if I ever recieve a response.

The CS at incipio is great in past experience

it's frustrating where there are two variations out there, the one with bigger hole to accommodate iphone 4s/verizon iphone 4 mute toggle, and the smaller hole for original AT&T iPhone 4
