This case looks promising..especially the 20/20 version since clear cases that don't scratch are like unicorns, apparently. If anyone could post pics showing the 20/20 on a black 3Gs it would be appreciated

Thanks for the review Jon! :)

I'm not sure how it looks like in real life, but looking at the pics that "cloudy" material looks kind of "metallic silverish" on a white iPhone. Or am I wrong?

Anyway, I think I'll try one of those Chinese knockoffs for 5 bucks first.

Jon, great review. Would also appreciate a picture of the clear on black GS, as well as your impression as you use it more. MacMall also has them for 52% off, but not in stock.

I'm sorry everyone, I totally spaced out this weekend about taking a picture with the black iPhone! I will try to do that tonight when I get home from work.

@Stormbringer: Yeah the bezel does look metalic/silverish rather than chrome when under the case. It would be nice if it was truly clear, but this is way more transparent than the Power Support I used when I first got my 3G.

I went ahead and ordered a magenta NGP case last night from Wireless Rage ($5 off + free shipping). I really can't wait till it gets here to see how it compares with other cases I use.

Received the translucent black yesterday for my black 3GS. Looks and feels great though a bit more 'real estate' in the pocket than my Power Support Air Jacket, though happy in the knowledge it is more secure.

Overall effect on the back is an off-grey with iPhone legending subtly visible. No watermarking. Fit is excellent overall, particularly cutouts. A bit more effort to press wake/sleep button though not a dealbreaker. Very slight movement on left hand vertical front but again not an issue and covers the bezel all round. Fingerprints show on the back somewhat, but minor concern.

Overall a happy bunny and particularly that it was £14.95 delivered from Amazon UK. 20/20 clear is £16.95. Tried taking photos but they were all terrible. Someone else with more photographic skill for Translucent black on black iPhone?

Sounds like an NGP is in my future, but for now the speck SeeThru is becoming my new favorite. Slimmer than the CandyShell, but still with face down protection. Seems like the case manufactures are getting better at this lately!

Holy crap, it's here already. Two days to ship here from CA. Awesome. Anyway, no watermarking that I can see as yet, and it still fits into the dock I've been using with my Solo FX (and knockoffs). I'll post pics (it's the magenta one on a white iPhone) when I get a chance this afternoon.

Ugh, sorry anyone who was waiting for pictures of the Black phone in the "Clear 20/20" case. Borderlands came out on PC last week and I was very..."distracted" all week!

Here's the pics of the black iPhone in the 20/20 Clear case. As I suspected this is not the best match. The black phone should look pretty good in the "Translucent Black" color though. Hopefully someone will post those pics.

Still a nice looking case though. If they ever have them in stock at the Apple Store, I'll have to test drive one and see how it compares to the Speck SeeThru.

Yep, I agree. The 20/20 doesn't look very good on the black 3GS. I would much appreciate if someone could post pics of the translucent black on a black 3G/S

Is the screen protector come with this case any good?

That's a good question conancn, I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you though. I've had a Power Support crystal on my 3GS since I got it, and it's on so nicely I don't want to remove it. I haven't tried any screen protectors from all my cases and have a bit of a stack accruing.

Hopefully someone else who bought the case used their screen protector and can answer that for you.

Word of caution on this one--I thought it fit perfectly well in the dock I was using, but it turns out that being in the dock stretched out the thin piece of material on the bottom of the case (toward the front) and I haven't been able to get it back to normal yet. I tried heating it (lightly) with a hair dryer and then putting it back on the phone in the hope that that'd shrink it back to the right side. It helped some, but it's still loose enough to be annoying.

That being said, design-wise, I really like this case. It's probably 2nd on my list right now, just behind the newer version of the Speck See Thru.

Thanks anyway. I just got the case from Macmall today, and my co-worker's really amazed. I'll try the protector.:apple:

I received my first 20/20 NGP today for my white 3G. It seemed a little too easy (loose) to put on at first but once one it's solid. I went through two Speck SeeThru's, both of which ripped where the bezel edge attached to the body of the case. Very disappointing as I think the SeeThru was a better looking case, but this Incipio looks much more indestructable. So now my two favorites are the Incipio 20/20 NPG for a slim case, and the Speck CandyShell for ultimate protection.

Enjoy your cases!

Whats the differences between this case and an iSkin Solo FX? Which one is thinner? Are they the same material?

Thanks.

Yellow Yet??

Quick Question, Have your Incipio NGP 20/20 cases "Yellowed" since you purchased them. I have the Switcheasy "Vulcan" case, which is the same type of material that has "Yellowed since I got it. SE sent me another "Clear" case that will probably "Yellow" again, even though I requested a "Smoke" version of the case as a replacement. How are your cases doing?? Any signs of clear turning to Yellow?
Thanks!

YES - Sorry to burst your bubble, but I have not been using that case for some time now as it stained horribly, just like every other "clear" case.

I often wear jeans and that case turned a nasty yellow/green from the pockets in barely a week.

The manufacturer has been extremely helpful though letting me swap it out, and eventually switch to a Feather, which I stopped using pretty quick as well.

As a case I'd give it a 5/10 - if you don't wear jeans it's easily an 8/10 (hard to press buttons are my only complaint)

Incipio as a company I give a 10/10 - very pleasant to deal with.

These guys have some wonderful cases. I designed my own, uploaded the picture and its now my case.
Here it is sitting on the shoulder of the 'model', our dog.
Sitting on one of her toys, a red road cone which she has chewed to bits.

My clear NGP got really disgusting looking, so I bought a blue one and I'm very happy with it. I still use the "clear" one from time to time as I love the fit and form of it regardless. Go dark color and you should be fine.
