Would say the indexing took around 5-6 days in your case.
It depends on how you use your phone and the phone most often is progressing with the indexing when the phone is charging.

My indexing message disappeared after being “stuck” at 40% since Tuesday.
This is exactly what happened to me! I updated my iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPad to beta 3 at the same time and now my phone has been stuck on index 94% for 4 days. If your problem is solved, please let me know so I can do the same🙏
Hello does the indexing percentage only shows in 17 series ? Have updated 24 hours ago to public beta in my 15 pro max and don’t see any percentage at all just the message in the settings.
All of a sudden disappeared after 24 hours exactly ! No percentage displayed what so ever

Don’t worry about this too much - it’s still a relatively early beta.
For most users the indexing message disappeared after 4-5 days, no matter if there was a percentage given or not.
It highly depends on the amount of data on your phone, how you use it, the idle time.
The most progress is being made when the phone is on the charger and in idle.

I put my phone ib charger and connect it to wifi for on night and tomorrow i saw this number. But after 100 hours still stuck on 94% it’s bug, and idk how to fixit

Mine shows on a 16 Pro but the percentage didn't pop up until about 24 hours after installing the beta. It has been stuck at 47% since and hasn't changed, even though the "Last Updated" time is updating and seems to coincide with when I plug it into a charger. I've been keeping it on the charger more trying to get it to finish but damn this is taking forever. You'd think it could just finish overnight since it is just charging and not doing anything else.
Does anyone know what these messages mean? Does not seem good.

0.995 = 99.5% completed and calculated at 20.41 2026-07-19. Probably indexing already completed but something new has been saved (eg. photos) which is why 99.5.

Macrumor has it that 26.6 will include this same indexing to preload users phones ahead of 27.0 features

Hi everyone,
I have an iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 27 Beta 4. My storage recently became completely full while the phone was indexing for Search and Siri.
After the “storage full” message appeared, the indexing status seemed to stop or disappear. I’m wondering what normally happens to the indexing process in this situation.
Does iOS automatically pause indexing until storage is freed up, or can the indexing process fail and need to restart from the beginning? After deleting some files, should indexing resume automatically, or is a restart or another step required?
Has anyone experienced this, and did Search and Siri return to normal after freeing up storage?

It has. My iPhone downloaded 26.6 this afternoon, and it said it was going to Index my stuff so that upgrading to 27 would go much quicker. Got that message when I took my SE v2 off the charger this afternoon at ~4 pm; it’s now after 10 and my battery still shows 100% charge; does the indexing just happen on the Cloud?
If such is going on there is no indication of it on my phone after the 26.6 installation. I did see the notes in software update that something akin to this would be going on to prepare for 27 but nothing noticeable has happened. Color me Happy!

I think they got so many bug reports on 27 beta saying indexing was going on for days, in 26.6 they put it in the release notes instead of Settings app.
