Ok, I just have to ask this. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but isn't the act of you pulling back the covers, crawling into bed, and then covering up after she's already asleep more of a disturbance to her if she's that light of a sleeper, vs a tiny little vibration from a phone? Are you sure it's the phone that's reason you are getting **** every night? I find it very hard to believe that if you could silence the slight vibration, your problem would be solved.

Just making a general observation...

It's funny, some people just wake up instantly when they hear certain types of noises, I guess. With phone stuff, she wakes up instantly, but when I'm pulling back the covers and such, she tends not to wake up then.

I'm guessing that parents would have to wake up when they hear babies crying, but could sleep through a car alarm 😀

I just find it strange that this "problem" exists on the iPhone - but doesn't on my iPad!

For starters, the iPad doesn't have vibration.

Every time I charge my iphone it vibrates constantly. The whole time itcharges. Every iphone I've owned ends up doing it. Keeps me up at night- I use the stupid thing as an alarm clock so need it nearby. Can I get my money back or exchange it for something less irritating??

This isn't normal. The phone should give two quick buzzes when first plugged in, and then be silent. Are you using a third party charger or cable? If yes, switch to the stock Apple one and see if that changes anything

It's a stock apple charger. I've either got to put up with constant bleeping- or if on silent, constant vibrating. What I would really like us to use my phone during the day- then when I go to bed, set my alarm.. Stick it in the charger.. And get some sleep! But it keeps me awake bleeping away! I do like the iPhone but messing with my very limited amount of sleep is forcing me to reconsider brands!

Does it do it regardless of what wall outlet you use?

Honestly, what you're describing isn't the norm. If it does it regardless of what cable or outlet you're using, then something is wrong with the phone, and you should contact Apple regarding repair or replacement.

Sounds like the OP is getting app notification alerts and needs to go down his notifications list doing some toggling. Either that or put the phone into airplane mode at bedtime.

The vibrate noise when plugging in the charger is unavoidable, or the beep if not on silent.

I looked up this post coz I was thinking there must be a way to turn the vibrating off. Maybe in future updates. Have you contact apple to feedback this issue? I might do it as well. It's the biggest thing I hate about apple products - they sacrifice customisability for user-friendlyness
