Now you’re good. And even if they did have my info, the jokes on them—I don’t have a FaceBook account!

… not having a username and password at Facebook doesn’t mean they don’t have a record on you.

Instagram is more than iPhone app and every picture is geotagged.
No it’s not. ONLY Apple apps have special APIs. Instagram is same as anything else. And I always strip geo EXIF after exporting from Lightroom CC so your point doesn’t stand.

But stripping EXIF and using content blockers and VPNs means it’s a really crap profile. They might have a record on me but that doesn’t mean it’s an accurate one. And I know it’s not accurate because even Google is confused about where I am and isn’t able to target me with anything I’ve looked at or even remotely interested in.

Literally zero people care what you do with Lightroom, not a single person.

The reality is >99% of the rest of the world doesn't bother to strip Exif data, so the point does stand and your anecdote/straw man is irrelevant.

Everyone was telling me that they track me anyway because of geotagging, and I was telling everyone that they don't because I'm smarter than that. This was always about me and not what other people do. Everyone was telling me that they still have all this info on me and it's just not true. I don't give a crap about anyone else because most people are stupid and give away all their info online. It is not a strawman because I was never arguing against what you're saying, I was arguing for myself in this thread and I think you got mixed up into that. Yeah, they have secret profiles on everyone. I get it. But Instagram itself is not some special app like you are saying. They must follow the same rules that every other app does. You say zero people care, but go back through this thread, everyone was arguing with me about them tracking me using geo and my response is that it's stripped.

Alright, well my point was about the general public not you specifically.
