Instagram web UI not displaying correctly

Page resizing doesn't fix it. Zooming in and out doesn't fix it. Rebooting doesn't fix it.
I would have said it was a browser issue, except it is the same across Safari and Firefox. I've just downloaded Brave... and it's showing the same thing.
no such issue here (altho i've had some rough moments with instagram). try signing out of your account (in all browsers), clearing the cookies in your browsers, and signing back in...
Happening to me as well. I reset, cleared browser, tried resizing. tried hiding the tab. Nothing. Never happened to me before. What sucks is that you cant see the Upload button. If I have to do all these steps to load your website correctly, I might as well stop using it too.
Same here. Tried 3 different browsers - Safari, Chrome and Firefox- all displaying the same behaviour. I have tried rebooting. I have also tried in Incognito mode to avoid any caching or cookie issues. It is happening both on my laptop and desktop machine. Both running Monterey. I doubt this is browser related for the above reasons. Anyone know how to contact Instagram technical support?! 😂
wondering what it is; i had some annoying issues with instagram a few weeks ago, but seemed an issue from instagram, as it occured on safari and chrome, on both an M2 and intel mac.

I have had that kind of page before - I think that is caused by the CSS not all loading. Have you tried refreshing your page a few times - that worked for me. The issue I am getting is that the top of the Instagram page is cut off - so you can't scroll to the top to access the header menu - Activity, Add new post etc. - see below.
Fisherking - are you saying it works fine on Ventura? That is interesting. The Instagram page was working fine last night - just started today, which made me think it was at the Instagram end, but if you are saying it works fine in Ventura 13.2 it might be time for me to upgrade. (I'm currently on 12.5.1 Monterey). If you can confirm that would be great, thanks.
i obviously can't promise it works for everyone on 13.2 (see @Madonion above); but it is ok here. so perhaps an issue with instagram itself, that some are experiencing...
I hate to say it, but so glad others see this - I thought I was going crazy. This is on 2 / 3 Instagram accounts!
This problem has been going on since 6AM CST today in Texas consistently for 2/3.
I tried: Chrome, Safari on Mac Ventura 13.1 (all patched up)
Windows Edge, Chrome - latest greatest patched
I deleted ALL cache, ran CCleaner on Windows (2x) and deleted all cache on Mac, rebooted, ran CleanMyMac 2x - no change
Used the DEV option in Windows & Mac to try various options - no change
This is amazingly persistent.
Interestingly, starting at 7PM CST I no longer get 2FA to my phone on 1/3 accounts. 2 others do.
The lone account that works just fine has the menu on the SIDE, not the top, of the screen.
If I could force the other 2 accounts to have the menu on the side, all would be good.
But, when did Instagram start putting a menu on the side? None of the 3 had that until today.
This is MADDENING.
OH: iPhone, iPad Mini - all work fine. This is only in Windows & Macs.

the menu's been on the left for some time.
the fact that many people are experiencing this suddenly... suggests it's at instagram's end; if so, not much to do but perhaps report it.
