Instagram web UI not displaying correctly

I'm having the same problem and tried to do the fix that flowaraisin suggested, but I expanded everything and can't find the string to change the nav height. Can anyone suggest a fast way to find it? I'm on Monterey 12.6, thanks.

It depends what browser you are using, Cynthia but it will be under the "Elements" > "Styles" tab. Scroll down and find where it says --desktop-nav-height: The attached shows how it looks in Chrome. Hope this helps

There we go - that confirms the style sheet has an error? That desktop-nav-height shouldn't be 0px.

That works, though it reverts to 0 nav-height when you log back on

After my earlier post, I've now got the new format with the menu down the left hand side. Perhaps this is happening while they change all accounts to this new interface.

must be the way they're rolling out these changes; i've had the menu on the left (and dark mode... yay!) for about 3 weeks...

Just to let everyone know that my UI has now changed to the left hand version. As I suspected it seems to be part of a gradual roll-out of the new interface. Frustrating, but at least we know it will gradually come right. Hope it all changes for everyone soon

Sorry you're still having problems. Unfortunately it looks as though the code isn't loading in the Styles window for you. I'm not sure why. However, I think this will resolve itself for you fairly soon as it appears to be IG rolling out a new layout. It has corrected itself for me, so fingers crossed!

Finally it's working for me i have new layout on the left side, problem fixed, back to work.

i guess IG is a work-in-progress currently. i've been bragging pointing out that instagram has been fine for me... but now (430pm EST), it's giving me the same issues i had a week ago. yet no issues with the top bar.

hopefully they get it ALL sorted out soon, and we can go on with our important posts & comments 🤔

Its working now , layout on the left side too
