"Hi, I'm Steve, welcome to my weekly podcast, "Super Secret Apple Rumors," featuring the hottest rumors about our favorite company. I have some pretty good sources inside Apple, and this is what I'm hearing; the next iPod will be huge, an 8 pounder with a ten inch screen! ..."
Bigger screen, same thickness, multi-touch, reader, more performance, more battery life, more memory, card reader...blah..blah..blah..blah..blah, and omg what about the games!
Nah, who would want one of those...(as he carefully maps his position for a 48 hour siege of Summit Sierra Apple store).
How many of you remember the quote below from one of Jobs' keynotes. Looks like he wasn't joking.
But, if I were a sales guy that just needed to be able to read email click through a presentation with an apple remote, touch screen a 3d product rendering and could touch screen everything else for $500.00 or less....
Sorry, I just had to lol at holsters.
I can only think, "I'm Batman!"
Oh man.. Steve's gonna be pissed at Intel.![]()
I still dont see the point of it...
Well,
There is a lot of talk about this recently, there was some info coming from WSJ and EETimes regarding higher definition on the Iphone, and a bit larger screen size, making the Iphone a serious game platform.
Apple can pull this off since they can tie it all to iTunes and a user with a contract could possibly rent a game for $1 a day! that could have a tremendous impact in the gaming industry.
Now, about the Atom, it would have to be a custom chip, maybe close to 800Mhz and less than the 6 W ratings that they discussed a while ago.. (it was to go down to the 3~2W range) and Apple would need to make the Iphone bigger to accommodate for a larger removable battery.
It's all speculation, but we will have to see.

Could this be the iphone HOME by any chance?
All the functions of an iphone, but on your landline?
Makes sense for people who wanna email / surf the net and have an mp3 player in their living room, but dont wanna shell out for a laptop or have room for a desktop!
This tablet is the next logical step for Apple after the Macbook Air. Just remove the keyboard on the air, slim down the bezel, and add multitouch to the screen ala iPhone. This makes so much more sense to me than the MacBook Air. Ill be first in line.
I think there's a typo in the original article. Surely it should say "Ex Intel Germany CEO Hannes Schwaderer"...
