20" Aluminum Imac (Late 2007) w/ T7300 Processor

I have a 20" Aluminum iMac (Late 2007) with a T7300 Intel processor (2GHz Core 2 Duo). I've been reading a lot about this and I'm wondering if anyone's heard whether or not the Q9100 (Core 2 Quad mobile - socket p - 1066mhz fsb) will work with my machine.

It looks like it should. It might dial down the fsb, but I can live with that if I have 4 cores.

I've also read that some people have been able to instsal up to 6Gb of RAM (I have 4gb now) and that the machine recognizes it (even in the Activity monitor). Any news on that?

iMac 27" CPU upgrade

if you read Japanese, here's a pic i took from Mac Fan magazine which shows that upgrade of iMac 27" processor is doable.

Edit: i remember seeing on the other page that the cpu can be swapped on a 21" (late 2009) imac as well.

Edit again: of course, replacing the processor voids the warranty. :)

Any success in this upgrade?
