That is the most absurd picture I've ever seen. Welcome to my ignore list. I'm not even going to bother with your ridiculous posts anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a 'fanboy' as you put it, but the image posted toward the bottom page is just tosh. Pure propaganda.

How is the iPhone falling behind when it caters to my day to day needs perfectly?

I swear people just look at the specs and the specs only these days.

Android is great (on some phones) sure, but people are allowed to have the opinion that the iPhone is better.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the phone you use a matter of your taste and your ability to afford it (cost of phone and plan). I was under the impression that the iPhone is about the user experience, as is the case with :apple: products. The only reason I still use a BB is because my BB is CDMA and GSM, once there is a global enabled iPhone for Verizon, I'd gladly make the switch. I tried out the HTC Blah, Blah, Blah Droid last year and went with the BB StormII instead because the UI was more to MY liking. Being that I like my iPod Touch's UI, I expect that I will like the UI and (hopefully) performance of the iPhone 4S/5 (whatever it's called) that Verizon will offer that works in Europe.

..breaks...

I really do not know what you have to do to an iPhone to break it. Shure if you are run over by a tank with the phone in your pocket it maybe will break (without at least a screen protector) but as I try to avoid tanks I hopefully will not face this problem. But the rock or any other phone would have to fear the same violent ending

I have to say though, that picture is wholly correct. Didn't anyone ever tell you that you don't have to desperately defend everything Apple? :D

No, it's got some mistakes.

For one thing, on the 'Flash' line they mistakenly gave the green check to the phone that runs it and the red x to the phone that doesn't.

Those marks should be reversed.

Android does NOT:
- allow me to use the Apple Remote app to wirelessly control iTunes and Apple TV.
- Have a market that rivals the App Store
- integrate with iTunes (which includes regular and live updating playlists, ratings, etc)
- seperate "social clients" (they DON'T have to be linked to everything - some people don't give a hoot about Facebook)
- use a form factor that isn't "ugly" and the size of a brick
- include Apple's top notch customer support

Hey look. I can play this game too.

One more time: Grow up and stop worrying about what other people use.

Stop posting lies man!

Accept that Android is the best OS and iOS sucks. Android is the OS of choise for doctors, engineers, and philosophers. The only people still using iOS are fashion models, vain women, and hollywood artists. The iphone is a fashion accesory, Android is a technical phenomenom.

And the white iphone is obviously thicker than the black one by as much as 4mm. The phone is getting bloated just like the OS!

Consumers are getting smarter and embracing the bennefits of free open source OS like Android.

Lets answer with kindness.

I guess you did not had time to read my username and that's why you called me Man. That's ok not everybody has time to read usernames.

Android users always are talking of the benefits of opensource, but never mention them. How is opensource a benefit for consumers? Please provide more information.

Yes, Android is a nice OS, and I agree that iOS has its downsides and/or trade-offs in comparison to Android. It's OK to prefer Android, we'll still accept you here.

Would you agree that some people like iOS better and some like Android better? (And some may like both equally.). Maybe you can still use iOS and be productive in it while still not in love with it. Who knows, maybe you'll even grow to like it. Feel free to stick around and ask questions.

While the author does make a lot of good points in favor of his premise, this is the best point he made in the article

Apple has made it known that they only want to release quality products. They also have a knack for focusing intently on battery life. So it could definitely make sense that they would sit back and wait on the technology to come around instead of cramming their devices with all sorts battery-eating tech.

And that is the reason why the masses who are not worried about every little spec are lined up for days waiting for a new iPhone release, while Android phone releases with all their bells and whistles come and go without much hype.

Looking at the photo:

Flash: Who cares. It has been a security nightmare. I'd rather see developers use HTML5 than Adobe's proprietary package.

Widgets: JB-ed iPhones have them if you want them.

Wireless sync: Apples/oranges comparison. Android phones really don't need to sync with anything, other than copying stuff to/from the SD card.

Homescreen: JB if you want.

Social clients integrated. To each his own, I guess... but I don't care to have my FB crap messing up the rest of my contacts.

DLNA support: Doesn't really matter.

Gorilla Glass: This is the only thing on this list which I wish the iPhone had.

Drag/Drop/Play: Got that with my iPhone. I grabbed a file via wget, used Filer to stick in my Dropbox directory. No issues here.

HD video recording: Its a phone, not a video camera, and I'd rather have battery life anyway. Of course, it would be nice to have an 8MP camera , but 5MP is decent for most photos.

HSPA+: Would be nice, but likely won't be deployed much before LTE does.

Multitasking: Got that.

FM Radio: Where I live, its all the same homogenized crap as anywhere else. I can download ClearChannel's app and hear that all anywhere. No real need for FM radio unless something catastrophic happens that destroys our communication infrastructure, and at that time, I'd be too busy dodging zombies to listen to the radio anyway.

I'm neutral on Android versus iPhone, but I wish people would find better comparisons of things that matter. Instead of the crap that photo attacked the iPhone for, perhaps have valid points. One example:

Rooted android devices have the ability to get backed up via nandroid or Titanium Backup, with the backups encrypted and stored on DropBox. So, if one changes a ROM while traveling, they still can reinstall their apps, or even restore back to the earlier ROM. Device totally trashed? Buy a new Android phone, root it, reload apps and their data, so the Angry Birds saved game can persist.

To be honest iOS is old. It really needs to be upgraded with features that are available on other systems. Simple things that make yur life easier. I know it is stupid but damn I still can't change a sms tone? it's 2011 not 2001. Notifications are absurd. They bug eachout quite often so you really have no idea what you just got till you open and scroll through all your windows to see which app has a notification. It was ok in the beginning but now it is just pathetic.
