Hammering on a machines ability to run WINDOWS when it doesn't out of the box is r e t a r d e d. The review lost all sense of credibility right there. The keyboard is just fine too. It's not like Apple changed the keyboard.
If you "search" for Macbook Pro and read Mr. Sasha's past Apple Reviews, you are greeted with a slew of half-hearted comparisons and biased reviews that seem to be advertisements for Windows laptops.
"..It's an improvement on the old MacBook Pro's plasticky keyboard, but it's not up to the high standards set by other 15.4in laptops, such as Dell's superb XPS M1530."
Every single review I read had some mention of a comparable Windows laptop. When in fact these are not "Windows" laptops. I would further love to add the fact that in every review since the aluminum revision that Sasha has not liked the keyboard.
If you want to review a "Mac" laptop, compare it to it's own species.
Comparing a Tiger, or Leopard rather, to a Gazelle is folly.
Oh burn.
in all honesty, yes the specs are a tad light and ports leave a bit to be desired. However the bump to the new chips as well as the mediocre bump in graphics chipset is still a worthwhile upgrade, for users of OSX.
If you game, don't get a Mac.
If you want to get stuff done, get one. If you want a multitouch trackpad that simply cannot be beat.. get a Mac. Sturdiness is also top notch, and these machines evoke a sense of quality.
I for one, while not entirely pleased with the upgrades, am pleased with the laptop's design which hasn't changed much since the aluminum revision. For me, it is perfect.
My two cents. And I am no "fanboy". I love Windows 7... but it wasn't my idea. : )
