Interlacing a Video File

hello! please excuse my weird phrasing I am very tired and I do not know how to . make a post. um. I need to interlace some files I think to watch a homemade DVD on my CRT . I sadly cannot find a program that will work for mac + my os that will do what i need. does anyone know of something I could use? I think i tried um. ffmpeg but it was really suspicious imo. If thats the best bet though um let me know. Or if you know an easier way to do this. Thank you. 🙂

You can install an older version of Handbrake here, looks like 1.2.2 supports 10.10. You can also install FFmpeg via MacPorts, v4, 7, and 8 all work with El Cap.

To be honest I don't entirely understand what you're trying to do.

Thank you so much! This seems like it should work for me. I do not know how to phrase what I'm trying to do in different words but if my brain starts working again [ and it hasn't been solved ] I will try to update this in some way,,.

A CRT can display progressive video. There is no need to interlace it.
