What browsers are those?

In 1992, there was pretty much only Mozilla, wasn't there? I think Netscape came out in 1994 or 1995, right?

But I think Opera has had tabs for a long time. And Mozilla's main browser, predating Firefox, has been around for a while with tabs, too. And, I guess, several of the Linux browsers, such as Konqueror.

I don't know who's first, but I don't think it's Safari.

I know it wasn't Safari, definitely something from Mozilla I just didn't think it was that early off.

Yeah, no, the web was in its infancy at that time. I doubt it too. But I'm not sure whether it was a Mozilla browser, or Opera, that was first.

Honestly, and this is being totally honest. It is better to use than Safari. It renders so much faster than anything I have used in a long time, yes, even firefox.

I have no plugin problems, and pages that won't work in Safari, and Firefox load beautifully in IE7. Yea, on XP it is nasty looking, but on Vista, it isn't bad at all.

I think that looks horrible, it doesn't look much different from XP or 98.

I have the IE7 beta installed on my XP machine. The interface has a bunch of rendering bugs in it. Even without those, it's not a good looking app. Also, annoyingly it uninstalls IE6, so once you go IE7, you can't (easily) continue to use IE6.

i like how the spotlight icon is used.. except only reversed. very original.

i hate microsoft. mooch off of another companies achievements.

Well, I am not concerned with the looks, just the performance, and lest we forget that Apple was inspired to make the Mac OS after Xerox developed one first.

Remember, Apple isn't perfect, however, they are the best. There is a place for Macs and PCs to coexist. IE my office :)

IE 7 on XP2 was slower than Firefox at rendering pages in general usage. I also found the interface to be as far from intuitive as possible. Not only will it confuse new users, it will confuse returning IE users as well.

How much does MS pay their developers, Its like they take 10 minutes to develop somthing Bill looks at it says good enough heres your money and they sell it.

Anyone that wants to download IE7 can download it from MS...ya know...it's available for testing.

However, I wouldn't recommend it. :( It's kinda buggy and doesn't really work that great. It's hard to get to the features that you want and the pop up blockers is a PAIN (yes, worse than regular IE's).

I'm still trying to figure out how to get rid of it....it over writes the regular IE.

I tried it also, within about a half hour, I uninstalled it and installed Opera...it's actually a regression, IE6 is better, it's an awful hack job, trying to incorporate pieces of all the 'successful browsers' unsuccessfully.

That is because those pages are coded poorly (read: coded for IE) and don't follow standards. Safari and Firefox are still way ahead in that department. IE7 will be better, but even MS acknowledges that they won't be able to fix all of the bugs from IE6.

I don't think it looks much different on Vista - as a matter of fact, I don't think 'Vista' looks much different than XP - some transparency, different icons... same layout, same innefficient menuing layout. same os.

it looks the same as vista as it does on xp - crappy.
