We've seen lots of alternate iOS app design ideas, some creative OX application changes, and some general UI change ideas. Anyone want to take a crack at what would make for good September 10th invites? Unfortunately, I don't possess that sort of talent, but have an appreciation for some of the stuff I've seen on here.

"Same products. Different colors. Just buy."

Made me think of this

Just a quick and dirty idea.
Made in Photoshop Touch.

The following things should be shown:
  • rounded corner 'S' like in iPhone 4S
  • S is a mirrored ? without the dot
  • in both the S and the ? there is a line to resemble a C

probably like this or this

Apple-Event-Invites-Possibly-Confirm-iPhone-5-Launch-on-October-4.jpg

but knowing this is the "S" version launch, probably would look like the 4S invitation

I'm thinking something playing on the numbers - like 7 8 9 10 - and on the S for 5S and the C for 5C.

Have the iOS-style "7" that's we've seen, followed by a "S" that has long tails (almost making it look like an 8), then have 9.1C (and have the C tails long as well to look like a 0).

So technically it would be: 7.S.9.1C

Anyone want to try a mockup?

This is horrendous because I did it on Paper app since I don't have any real computer programs/editing software to make something passable, so think more concept than anything, but kind of like this:

Here's mine. I colored the C/0 based on the leaked 5C shells:

I will make one but do you like the question mark one?

I'm not a fan; it seems cramped and messy.

You forgot launch day is around the corner and there are more glitches than days to sort them out.

You forgot Apple has a team of 1,000+ software engineers working on iOS. You forget that beta six was probably being used internally when beta three was released to developers, meaning Apple had a six week head start on ironing out the issues in that build. Add the four since, and there's pretty good odds that the GM will be a massive improvement over beta 5/6.

You forgot some people don't know anything about software development. Just let them be oblivious in peace good sir.

Anyone who knows anything about software development, knows that "1,000+ software engineers" is usually the LAST thing you'd want working on a release.

More is not better, when it comes to software :)

Regardless, the stability of beta six should not be used as guidance for how stable the released product will be. That was my point, and it still stands. :)
